Would be nice to have a few features added to this specifically for the craftable items tab:
1.) The component list is automatically updated when a full item is selected as being built
2.) Clicking on a fully built in the suggested comp that says “MAKE” should automatically also update your component and fully built list
My 3rd suggestion is more of a pipe dream but you should look into having this feature accessible inside each comp page. Additionally when you select a comp from this page items/components transfer over to that page and you can have a more intuitive item helper alongside everything needed for the actual comp even better if it highlights going an alt comp on that page if you get something like an emblem or even just spat item. Think metatft item assistant feature if you’re familiar but on steroids
Either way, I applaud the dedication to this and you will definitely continue to see a sub for this awesome site from me.
First, thanks for the suggestions. The component list automatically getting updated when you select an item is such an obvious feature that I should have done it from the start. I will get that done when I have the time.
As for the 3rd suggestion, it’s more challenging since I’d have to find the best way to squeeze the UI in there. That said, one feature I did want to add to this tool that I didn’t get around to was the ability to “select” a comp so that it was the only one you saw (even if other comps had a higher score) – this way when you make your comp selection, it only made suggestions for that comp. This will probably not come along until later when I revisit this tool (I usually revisit everything I build periodically and do some updates after I’ve had some space from the initial development).
Would it be possible to automate putting artifacts, augments and emblems into this page whenever you add them to a comp? I assume you have a similar system for the flowchart page? Would be awesome, I find this UI easier to navigate than the flowchart page.
Long-term, it will probably get expanded (although maybe not openers, hard to say how I can programmatically make that work while also keeping it accurate). But that won’t be for a bit – I’ve moved onto trying to work on an overlay and will probably let this sit for a bit as I gather feedback and let ideas for it bounce around my head.
Sounds very good to me! I am pretty new to the game, so I might also just be confused on how to pick the right comp but I usually base it off the 2 stars I get until 1-3, then pick my augment based on a general direction I think this is going (likely some XP or gold gain at the moment, if no good emblem or artifact pick is offered) and then complete my items around that. But that might be a misconception from my side,
1) Items
2) Opener
3) Augments
4) Encounter (rarely impactful)
5) What Other Players are Doing
In an ideal world, the line selection tool would encompass all of these except #5 since that depends on your specific game. In reality, creating a scoring method that will accurately score every champion opener and augment possible is quite challenging, especially when the balance of openers can change around from patch to patch.
Long-term, I will think about how to make this possible programmatically. That’s the real concern: Doing it programmatically. And I do have some ideas, it just will take time.
That said, items are usually more directional than champions. Why? Because with enough gold, you can choose your champions. Nothing lets you choose your items (ignoring the augments that allow you to do that lol, but even then you’re giving up something else to gain that benefit). So usually you are forced to play around your items more than you are forced to play around your champions. The best spots are the ones where your items and champions align and they naturally lead to the comp you want to play. That’s a “perfect” line.
Hey, do you need more people to help build the overlay? I’m a senior developer, mainly focused on building commercial applications, but I really enjoy your site, and would love to get something going.
I appreciate the offer! Right now, I’m working solo and will continue that way. At the current stage, I’m just working on getting more answers than questions as I research Electron apps each day. Once I’ve gotten most of the design fleshed out in my head, I’ll start working on it. Might take a while, but I intend to build it solo.
Would be good to have an icon or icons on each comp for which unit the item is for. I’d imagine it could be automated the way the rest of the site renders.
This feature is awesome, just subbed for it! I don’t know how you keep innovating on this website and making it better and better but keep up the amazing work Blue!
This page has the first Patreon (or Twitch sub) feature for TFT Flow. I understand that might be controversial, but I do want to give people a reason to support the site other than just generosity. It’s also quite an experimental tool: The goal is to show you the best line to play given your items. You select your components, any completed items you have, any reforgers, and any component anvils and the tool will calculate a score for every comp in your selected list (defaults to “Default” and “Meta” comps on TFT Flow) and recommend the comps with the highest score to you.
Want to mess around with the Scoring Methodology? Click on the Gear icon next to “Recommended Comps”. I don’t expect the tool to be perfect right now. It’s going to make some strange recommendations at times, but I do think with some fine tuning it will get much better over time and will help people understand their choices better.
For those who aren’t Patreon or Twitch subs, you can still get value out of this page. The only part that is “paywalled” is the ability to get the scoring recommendations. Outside of that, you can easily see what items are “Core” and “Good” across comps as well as look through the other tabs for information that might help with Line Selection.

would it be possible to include things like openers (i.e. 2 star units) and augments for weights into the paid version?

Hi Eric,

I think artifacts could be a really great addition to line selection :3
Why is Rapidfire Bramble always shown when i dont have the Core Condition = Emblem. Can i fix this somehow ?
EDIT: This should work as you would expect now. It won’t get recommended unless you have the Emblem selected.
You can fix it – Go to “Custom” in upper right and Uncheck the Rapidfire Bramble comp. I’ll think of a better way to handle it meanwhile.
Thank you for fixing that so quickly <3
Would be good to have an icon or icons on each comp for which unit the item is for. I’d imagine it could be automated the way the rest of the site renders.

Very innovative and cool feature! Been wanting something like this for awhile and I’m glad someone actually did it 😀
