Tips & Tricks
  • Must have 5 Riftbeast by 3-1. Roll for it if need be (sometimes correct to roll for it in Stage 2). Ideally want to minimize rolls before level 7. This is why having at least 3 copies of Cinderling or Pebbles early is important so you can reasonably hit 3-star without rolling much before 7.
  • Once you reach Level 7 on 3-5 for tempo or 4-1 when you need gold but have HP, start rolling for 7 Riftbeast + 3-star Krug, Scuttle, Cinderling, and Pebbles. Sometimes you can play around Murkwolf or Gromp if you have many items. Thief's Gloves can be good for unitemized 3-stars.
  • Once you hit 3-star Krug, focus on pushing levels so you can ideally play around Elder Dragon late game.
  • The comp can be played as fast 9 in rare circumstances where you streak with nearly a natural Cinderling or Pebbles 3, but this is quite rare so the reroll variant is far more popular.
  • Most of the time Alpha Mark your carry (Cinderling or Pebbles) unless you need the frontline in which case you can mark Scuttle (if Krug usually dies later) or Krug (if he is dying quick enough). Tank Alpha Mark becomes better later in the game.
  • Item priority matrix is setup for Cinderling + Elder Dragon, but obviously AP items are higher priority if you have a Pebbles setup early with AP items slammed.

Economy Strategy
  1. Level to 4 if strong.
  2. Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. Level to 6, unless it places you below 30g.
  4. Stay level 6, unless you can stay above 50g on 7 or you are below 40 HP and can stay above 30g on 7.
  5. Level to 7, roll until board mostly upgraded. Never go below 10g even if missing tank or carry.
  6. Build up to 50g, slow roll to 50g until 5-1.
  7. If below ~25 HP, sometimes you must roll until you hit here. Not ideal.
  8. Roll until you hit 3-star carry and tank. Can go to 0g. Only greed gold if you are above ~60 HP.
  9. If you hit, you can level to 8. Otherwise stay 7. Holds true for every round for the rest of the game.

Tip changed from Most of the time Alpha Mark the Krug. Sometimes you can Alpha Mark a carry like Cinderling or Pebbles if your frontline is tanky. If you make it to 3 item Elder Dragon 2, use alpha mark on him. → Most of the time Alpha Mark your carry (Cinderling or Pebbles) unless you need the frontline in which case you can mark Scuttle (if Krug usually dies later) or Krug (if he is dying quick enough). Tank Alpha Mark becomes better later in the game.
Tip changed from This comp previously was listed as fast 9. It has been changed to 3-cost reroll as that is the strategy used most of the time: Generally do not roll at all before 7. This is why having at least 3 copies of Cinderling or Pebbles + 5 Riftbeast early is important. → Must have 5 Riftbeast by 3-1. Roll for it if need be (sometimes correct to roll for it in Stage 2). Ideally want to minimize rolls before level 7. This is why having at least 3 copies of Cinderling or Pebbles early is important so you can reasonably hit 3-star without rolling much before 7.
Tip changed from Once you reach Level 7 around 4-1 and start rolling for 7 Riftbeast + 3-star Krug, Scuttle, Cinderling, and Pebbles. Sometimes you can play around Murkwolf or Gromp if you have many items. Thief's Gloves can be good for unitemized 3-stars. → Once you reach Level 7 on 3-5 for tempo or 4-1 when you need gold but have HP, start rolling for 7 Riftbeast + 3-star Krug, Scuttle, Cinderling, and Pebbles. This is pretty decent.

THIS WAS ACTUALLY SO STRONG. I had Living Forge, Vertically 2, and Money Hungry, and the comp completely took off.

I ended up beating a Draven comp with 2★ Maokai + Lux + Elderwood, and he had something like 11 champions on his board, printing items like crazy. He was even getting dangerously close to 3★ Draven, Taric, and Maokai.

But I just out-damaged and out-sustained him with my item setup.

The craziest part was having two Seeker’s Guards. I put one on Pebbles and one on Cinderling, and once they got going, they were just deleting everything.

I also ran Elder Dragon instead of the usual Ravager package with Wolves/Brambleback, and it ended up being insanely strong.

He had the bigger board and was almost hitting multiple 3-stars, but my comp was simply doing way too much damage while sustaining through everything. Absolute stomp. 🔥

Still very playable. People need to get better at recognizing spots.

  4. setmeplz7777

pretty bad this patch even with omega riftbeast and a reroll augment. had 3 star pebble cinderling and krug by 4-1 still went 5th.

    1. Anonymous

it’s not bad, you just need early pebbles and cinderling 3 star with 3 items each. Anything else and it won’t work.

Can you add Riftbeast shop probabilities to the site? I heard that it doesn’t 100% align with standard shop odds

    good with cluttered mind

I would add “Going Long” to the augment section in some capacity. You need to have the spot for it, but I had 5 riftbeasts on 2-1 with it and 14 streaked, was level 7 on 3-1 with 7 riftbeasts(and then hit verticality II xdd)

Added it. It makes sense to me that it would be good, not sure if +1 or +2. Would need to see multiple games with it to feel confident on ranking it higher than +1. Thanks!

I Played double bluebuff + Alpha Mark Pebbels and he casts once and then never stops. I think this was very very nasty.

NSNP goes crazy with this comp so long as you have riftbeasts to fill out slots. Prob have to always play Gromp instead of Brambleback though

Having gotten it twice now, I think I can comfortably say that “Deadlier Caps” is really good on this – obviously on a Pebbles-focused version. The mana regen actually does make a difference and obviously it just gets increasingly strong as you get kills. Only take with a Pebbles 2* obviously.

I also think that Void Staff has merit on Pebbles.

  17. Anonymous

It’s better to alpha mark on scuttle instead of krug if you need more tankiness.

  18. Think Criticallly

How do you hit 3 star 1 cost without rolling? Is there a way to generate them?

I have only been able to get the lvl9 elder dragon version of this comp working with trade sector

2-5 on 5 try to get 5 riftbeast, Scuttle 2* with 2 jugg is plenty strong

I had a very good opener with Prismatic Destiny into Band of Thieves
