Patch 16.7 Guide
The most popular meta lines for the patch are included here. Use the tier list to see all lines. Tips for the patch:
- Patch 16.7 is the smallest Patch for this set. It slightly nerfed the AP cap (Galio, Ryze, and Sylas all nerfed), but the meta is still roughly the same.
- Only noticeable change in the meta is that Demacia Longshots with Vayne looks noticeably stronger and a part of the meta now due to the buffs to Vayne and AD Kai'Sa
AD Core Lines
These are the lines you should play in most games if provided attack damage (AD) items. Conditions are recommended, but not mandatory.
AP Core Lines
These are the lines you should play in most games if provided ability power (AP) items. Conditions are recommended, but not mandatory.

gm blue you are the goat for this flowchart
Hi Blue!
First of all I wanted to thank for the great work on the website. I love the quick and consistent updates, and I think the econ guides and tips and tricks really allow you to catch the grasp of a comp quickly. Your website allowed me to go from silver to diamond, and my experience has been great.
As a long time user since set 13, I have some thoughts regarding the new UI of the page in this set. As you’ve mentioned previously, it takes a lot of scrolling to get around the page, but I think there’s a bigger issue with not all of the popular comps being displayed on the main page, like Aphelios Reroll, Targon Asol, Yordles or Void, all comps which are perfectly viable under some common conditions. Someone might think these comps aren’t on the website at all, but they’re simply hidden in the visual mess that is Tier List (I don’t think splitting the comps by conditions is a great idea, makes it hard to find something even if you know what you’re looking for), or they’re in Flowcharts which requires you to ctrl + f for them. I personally was a fan of having all of the popular comps in the main page, and putting the more exotic comps in flowcharts. Putting the popular comps on the main page can also help people comprehend major meta shifts, like when Piltover was killed it was simply removed from the main page, which might have caused confusion.
Also the stage 1 holds and openers are great additions to the website, and many people might miss them because they’re so weirdly placed.
Keep up the great work!
I think you are slightly missing the point of this page. The comps you listed are not the “default meta” lines that you should be thinking about in 80%+ of games. This page is only designed for that, and I will continue to provide that. Of the comps you listed, only Aphelios Reroll is possibly defaultable (I know that was Broseph’s read for example).
I might just add a toggle to show all comps, not sure yet. There is a dropdown on the tier list that shows only the Base Comps, which removes ALL of the clutter and only shows you one card per comp in their respective tiers but I know the overwhelming majority of people who use this site don’t know about it. I’ll consider how to create a page that shows all comps at some point, or a more prominent toggle.
Thank you for the feedback, I am actively thinking about ways to just quickly display all comps on the site. I don’t think I will ever have a section for what’s “popular” though (e.g: Yordles the whole set even though they were garbage most of the set). I will probably only separate meta default lines from the rest of the comps.
Thank you as always for the swift updates! this site has been my lifeline as I’ve climbed to a new all-time LP peak this set.
I was wondering about your thoughts on Yordle reroll is this patch. I only played it for one game but Tristana 3* felt really strong.
Think Yordle reroll is still bad above Emerald personally, just not enough juice to make it good compared to the meta boards
Amazing job as always! I’m looking forward to set 17 and the new website features.
I reached Master+ four times without spending too much time studying the meta, thanks to your hard work.
If it hasn’t already been done, a “search by name” feature on the flowcharts or tier list pages would be very welcome, as scrolling isn’t great at this point.
For the tier list page, there is a search bar in the controls above the tier list to the left. You can search by almost any entity that exists on the website — Comp, item, augment, trait, champion, opener, custom condition, etc. Think it also supports general searches like “artifact”.
For the flowchart page, I was hoping most people would just use “ctrl + F” (or equivalent on Mac) as the page was designed for that, similar to the original flowchart page. Could maybe implement a search at some point (especially for filtering down results), but it would never be better than ctrl + F.
GOATed site, thanks for all the hard work!
Yordle…
Thank you much
Thank you for the updates. Looking forward to new features!
Champions spell descriptions are now broken for some reason though o7
Fixed! They updated where you get the values for the formulas in Champion spell descriptions in 16.7 from “mName” and “mValues” to “name” and “values” and I typo’d “value” instead of “values”. Woops 😀
Updated for Patch 16.7 — This is a very small patch overall, so don’t expect many changes over the coming days like there were with prior patches.
This is nearly the end of Set 16 now, so I want to talk a little bit about what is going on behind the scenes with TFT Flow lately. I am working on another major set of updates. I can’t provide a firm timeline for when those updates will come out. Obviously I would love if they were out by Set 17 launch, but that might not be possible.
In short, I am in the process of adding the following features to the website:
1) Augment Tier List + Change Log
2) Stage 1 Hold Tier List + Change Log
3) New page to replace this one probably — Haven’t decided yet. But my goal with this page was to only highlight the meta comps while the tier list showed every comp on the website. I don’t like how much scrolling there is on this page. I want there to be an easier way to get an overview of the consistent meta comps without having to scroll as much.
4) Comp Change Log Revamp – I don’t like how wordy the current change log for comps is. Aiming to change this to become more visual.
5) Champion item builds page — I intend on building a tool that allows me to centralize where I manage item builds. If I create it, it’s completely “free” for me to also add a page to the website that shows all champions in one place along with recommended builds for those champions. Undecided on whether I’ll include this page yet.
6) Drawing on Team Builder update — I want to support chess style drawing on the team builder. Except a lot more functionality. Expect this to be a fairly major project
With these updates will come a slight redesign of the comp pages. You can view a preview of where I am at on that design in the site’s Discord. The variation dropdown will get supplemented with quick access buttons you can click to swap between variations. Openers will get moved to above the fold (top of the page, before scrolling). Augment priority will get added, along with maybe a few other new sections (undecided). The end result should be an updated comp page with more info while still looking clean / organized.
All of this is to say I am busy. The website is not on the back burner at all, although the actual content updates are going to be slower for the remainder of Set 16 since this set is now in its winding down phase which gives me more time for development.
As an aside, part of why I would like to get this page a bit smaller is I consider this page’s comment section to be the most important on the website. One downside of introducing comments across the website is now fewer of them come in on this page, which is generally a small price to pay but I do miss the sense of community I felt in this page’s comment section. I’ll probably try to be a bit more active here in the future as I consider this a nice place to post updates like this one.
Thanks everyone who is still using the website 🙂
Thanks for your hard work always GM Blue. Your page is unlike any of the others in the best way.
Thank you for everything you do. I love your website and I’m excited for all the future updates!
Thanks alot champ, great work!
