Moved some comps down to B-tier, mostly because I think getting to the level 9 boards is ideal right now if you can do it (which with mixed rank lobbies, should be possible more than usual). As ranks and meta stabilizes, the fast 8 comps might perform a bit better. Also people are making a lot of mistakes currently which lowers the stats of certain lines (like itemizing Bel’Veth with bruiser items instead of pure damage).

Why are so many tanks’ perferred item Gargoyles? Doesn’t the abundance of front line units in this patch + unit count make that item rather inefficient?
Just the default tank build on every tank in the game has been Gargoyle + Spirit Visage + Warmogs for a bit. You’ll see it as the most popular build always in the stats. Doesn’t have to be that, just slam whatever makes sense for your spot. But when a tank doesn’t want specific items (like Vow on Swain), the site just defaults to that build. Not something you should read into a lot. Most of the time you slam whatever makes sense for your spot. You are right that Gargoyle has lower value in a lot of comps that have busy frontlines, but you can mitigate this just by moving back your 0 item tanks.
