Patch 16.2 Guide
The most popular meta lines for the patch are included here. Use the tier list to see all lines. Tips for the patch:
- Bilgewater is the strongest set of comps in the game. It is almost always correct to play Bilgewater if you get an early TF (before 2-5). Slam items extremely aggressively (never sit on more than 2 components, try not to sit on more than 1), don't sit on your serpents (make sure to buy upgrades and stats), and take augments that provide combat power or items typically.
- The two most popular AP lines, Ziggs Ryze and Bruiser Ryze, both want to unlock Kennen. It's important to know the level 8 boards you can play around if you fail to unlock Kennen by 3-7 so you can unlock him on 4-7. The comp guides provide example boards for level 8 without Kennen.
- The other key unlock in this meta that you must keep track of is Volibear. Kai'Sa, Bruiser Flex, and most Lissandra boards want to unlock Volibear. Be mindful of Belt on carousel if you do not have a Sunfire Cape or Warmogs yet for helping unlock Voli.
- The Demacia lines often want to play around Poppy as their main tank early game which means Juggernauts are valuable to hold early for Demacia, not Defenders
- Only play Shadow Isles if you unlocked Yorick on 2-1 (Viego 2 on 1-4 with 2 items equipped). This is rarely the best line, but can play for top 4s.

Is there any tips on what to play after you cashout the world runes? Like which lines you need to consider (assuming you didn’t hit a win out prismatic trait)?
https://worldrunestft.vercel.app/
Blue just wanted to let you know the link to your stream is still up even though you already ended
Fixed thanks lol
Just wondering is it safe generally to assume that comps outside of the home page are still playable? I know you say to mostly stick to the ones on the home page but every once in a while if a spot comes up and I think I have to play like… Slayers or something, do you keep the comps in the backend updated throughout patches?
yes depends on the augment
Focus on the tier list and flowchart more than the home page. Just play A+ comps or a non-contested B and you can autopilot to Plat 4 in like a week. Then you learn the game properly <3!
Did anything significant change that caused steadfast to now be the recommended item slot for a lot of tanks?
Yeah — Bramble is bad in this meta, so replaced it on a lot of tanks (but obviously not all of them).
the size difference between recommended AP comps vs AD is crazy lol. It was fun watching the stream last night! Can’t wait to try some of these out on my alt account first lol
Is there any impression on vertical Noxus? Was also wondering if 3 star reroll noxus could be viable, with darius and leblanc as the carries
I’ve just play Noxus reroll (Darius Le blanc) it in Emerald 1, feels strongish, maybe not a top 1 cop but definetly an easy top 4 (i got 2nd against ryze) from a decently good noxus opener.
7 noxus or did you stay on 5?
Was wondering if something like this is playable: 0232e01732f34302503536b000000000TFTSet16
-Briar Sion Neeko Leblanc Darius Kobuko Swain
-5 Noxus 2 Arc 2 Brusier 2 Def 2 Invoker 2 Jugg
Looks pretty wild with the Atakhan augment but 5 noxus is never worth it unless you play Mel-Azir very late. You’ll get stomped out late stage 4 and mid 5 with just 5 noxus, falls off pretty hard.
How come Lucian Kindred is moved all the way to B? With the TF buffs he’s a lot more stable early game, and the board caps just as well as it used to from what I’ve seen so far
Kindred nerfed, lucian nerfed, skarner nerfed…
Website is updated for Patch 16.2 — Patch is VERY different from last patch, so highly recommend studying a little before queuing if you care about your LP at all.
You’re such a goat dude, thank you!
