15.2 Guide
The most popular meta lines for the patch are included here. Use the tier list to see all lines. Tips for the patch:
- New version of Akali: 4 Supreme Cell. Does not play around 6 Protector, may cap higher. Hard to tell at this point – go test it out and report back.
- Kai'Sa has three tank options: 1) Kobuko; 2) Dr. Mundo; and 3) Rammus. Rammus is newest option, seems fairly stable on 2 star and caps high. Kobuko also caps high. Dr. Mundo feels weakest, but might be best for your spot.
- With Akali increasing in popularity, try to keep her in mind when positioning if there is an Akali player in your pool. Cubby positioning (C1) can help as a default. If they are 3 hexes in from left or right, consider not cornering your carry.
AD Core Lines

AP Core Lines

I have been in love with mundo since the start of the set. He does have a weird midgame lull before you get full items and he really wants to be 3*. But when he’s seg up he’s tankier than BA Leona and he will kill the entire board by himself if left with 4-5 enemies and starts out healing their damage. I think a lot of people’s mistakes is building him like a normal tank.
My setup has been Archangels as his mandatory, with stand alone as his Snax. The other 2 slots need to be tank items but it depends what the rest of your comp is. My preference is thornmail + dclaw. The % health on them makes a big difference. Ideally one of the carries holds a gunblade to make him shine the most but really that’s just an extra level of security and often not necessary, just a nice bonus. As alternatives Stone plate + spirit visage is pretty good too if you don’t hit enough tank components. Adaptive or Steadfast can also be good enough if you have to slam.
I don’t want to do math and I haven’t found a good ehp calculator to perfectly minmax it for all scenarios but that’s where I’m at. It’s possible Steadfast+spirit visage is just better when you have a gunblade holder and they have a lot of shred/sunder 🤷
Anyway that’s my contribution. Thanks for your work hero 🫡

I was wondering how you determine your conclusions about the meta and what leads you to rate certain comps lower than other sites, even when they were recently considered S-tier elsewhere. It seems your assessment was correct, since those comps have now been moved down to A-tier on other sites as well. I’d also like to ask whether your S-tier uses a stricter scale for example, does a comp need to be truly dominant in order to qualify as S-tier here?
I just spend a lot of time VoD reviewing Challenger player games and looking at data to get a feel for how strong comps are. For this particular patch, I probably spent more time than most people learning it to make sure the read here was good. But there are times my read is behind and I have to play catch up — varies depending on how hard a patch is to learn and how much specific knowledge there is. This set in particular is quite challenging because sometimes a comp is only really good with specific Power Ups, but you can’t filter that in stats so there’s where the VoD review goes a long way.
As for S-tier, it’s important to understand that this site uses a different tiering system than most places. The base tier that you see on this page represents the comp without special conditions like artifacts or augments. In most metas, there should be ZERO comps that have a base tier of S. If there is, the meta is in a bad place as those are the types of comps where it is correct for 2 people to play it every lobby. In some rare cases, I have moved a comp to S-tier because it was extremely underrepresented in the meta for its strength (e.g: Sorcerer Karma before people caught on) and then later move it down to A-tier once it is fairly represented in the meta.
So to answer your question, I rarely give any comps a base tier of S. But many comps on the website have conditions that raise them beyond S-tier.
Do you ever sell coaching sessions yourself? Would definitely be interested sometime, your work here is amazing!
Is there an augment tierlist?
Ahri with killer instinct is fun, put her in second row and watch her nuke squishy backline units. needs artifacts to consistently top 4
I Found your Website from One of Your YouTube Videos and I am really impressed. I am a new player who started in the end of the last season and this website has so much guidance compressed to a perfect overview, especially for a new players. I really appreciate your work here. Thank you!!
B-patch is LIVE. GP got nerfed in 3 separate ways. Most likely not playable now. BE WARNED.
Love the website! I’m going to need it. I want to rank up and go to Paris. Thanks for all the coaching you gave me on Twitch.
No Juggernaut Ashe has me a little confused NGL.
Added it so you could be less confused. In all seriousness though, the comp is overrated right now. It’s slightly better because the rest of the meta got weaker and backline access decreased with All Out K’Sante dying and Gangplank now properly going front to back. Now you can actually build Ashe with true best-in-slot (Double Rageblade + Kraken) instead of being forced to build Edge of Night on her like last patch.
But it still wants to skip straight to 9 to get all the 5-costs, but it also wants to roll on 8 because it needs Ashe 2 badly. It’s one of those comps that desperately wants something like Forward Thinking. Maybe there is some 5 Crystal Gambit shenanigans you can pull off, but I haven’t seen it really because it’s hard to kill units and stabilize on 5 Crystal. And if you have the Emblem, why not just play 7 Crystal?
From what I’ve seen, it’s typically a 3rd or 4th comp UNLESS you can roll most of your gold on 9 and hit all the 5-costs. But that’s difficult to do. So I don’t love it honestly. Still mostly wants to get played from Flickerblade, but that item is so disgustingly broken that it isn’t really Jug Ashe.
Makes sense, thank you for the explanation
Did fast 9 on the new patch with 2 star braum, 2 star lee, 2 star twisted fate with radiant void, deathcap and giant slayer and 2 star ashe with radiant rageblade, deathblade and red buff. Still lost to a 3 star Malza lmao.
Bro why are they taking away frost touch from TF its literally one of the most fun boards, riot just misses every time, and its not even “BROKEN” since you wont get to do it many games as it requires alot of gold etc , idk man riot just hates fun
If only GP had the TF treatment last patch XD
who Tf where ???
Frost touch have been disable :<. So no more tf
gp is still able to abuse the stretchy arms.
“Abuse” as in kill backline when targeting a frontliner, or “abuse” in the sense that he works the same as literally every other unit in the game with Stretchy Arms where they can successfully ult their target as long as it is in range of auto attack? That’s normal behavior and expected. I keep hearing people say GP is bugged, but I always thought and expected he would be able to ult across the board with Stretchy, so long as that unit is the active target that he is auto attacking. I don’t consider that “abuse” — it is an intended interaction. Just GP is still too strong. Here’s the wording Riot provided:
“Gangplank’s spell’s search range is now always 2-hexes rather than growing with range. If no valid target exists, he will fire at his current target.”
In other words, if there is no unit within 2 hexes of GP, he’ll ult at his current target — EVEN if that target is across the board because his range is high. That’s how every unit in the game works.
Kai’sa reroll seems good, if you get kaisa early and winstreak for passive. good for golden gala lobbies
I was going fast nine then open the site to read some tips then …….
sadly no more my favorite frost touch
Jaycob is the goat
goodbye frost touch twisted fate, you had a good few days
I’ve had two Syndra Bastion reroll games early into the patch, one with Tiny Team augment (Works perfectly with the 3 Star Guards on the team) and one with Battle Academia emblem and it’s feeling VERY strong right now. 2nd place in both of the games and only losing to massively capped boards. For a 1-cost reroll comp, I’ve been incredibly pleased so far. Also generally felt easy to build around. Haven’t found myself disappointed in any of my augment options, items, or struggling to stay healthy during a long level 5.
Would definitely recommend more people look to try out this comp on an early Syndra with Rising Chaos.
Seeing some people find success with a 6 Bastion + Kog’Maw comp, any chance you’ve looked into it or if you know if it’s viable?
