14.8 Flowchart

This flowchart assists in line selection for the current patch. Use it as guidance for what popular comps you should play when you have certain early conditions. The conditions provided for each line are recommended for the comp to perform as well as its tier suggests.

Only the most popular lines for the patch are included here. Use the tier list to see all available lines on a patch, including the strongest lines with specific artifacts, emblems, augments, or other uncommon conditions.

  • The "for-fun" patch hardly made changes to the meta. They added Cypher Emblem, which makes Cypher stronger. Nitro is slightly better. The buffs to Zyra / Ekko / Jinx make Rengar Jinx reroll slightly better. Varus is a sniper, so Dynamo Emblem Varus is better than before. Otherwise it is a similar meta.
  • Fast 9 is still popular. Prioritize econ augments on 2-1. Double econ is ideal as it maximizes probability of hitting and Zac can use the additional econ. Be ready to click more blobs in 14.8!

Not really a super exciting update to most people, but it takes time so posting the update: All champion tooltips for Set 15 are accurate now (I checked them all against in-game, at least at 1-star). You can see them in the Team Builder. The only slightly annoying thing is the Battle Academia unit tooltips are not showing their Potential effect. I might work on that before set release, but I have a lot more important things to work on which I’ll start getting into tomorrow.

My next goal for a bit is to hopefully add Power Up support to the team builder so I can show the best Power Ups and alternative Power Ups when making comps for Set 15, similar to anomalies in Set 13. Lots of work to get done, will keep posting updates here. I will try and update this page to Set 15 soon (while obviously keeping the Set 14 version up on its own page), but I really prefer to have all my tools updated first before making comps. Thanks for the patience!

I typed this question in one of my replies to you, but maybe it got lost in the comments.
    So I’m typing it again:
Do you plan on releasing a video explaining all the different ways in which we can utilise the filters?
And speaking of features, is there a way to FILTER OUT/EXCLUDE conditions? As in, if I want to see all the artifact lines, I click the artifact icon — but what if I want to see all the lines WITHOUT artifacts? Is that possible in this current version?

    1. Author avatarGM Blue

The tier list can indirectly exclude (toggle all the buttons you want to include), but the conditions list page will always switch filters. I did that to make it faster (one click swapping instead of toggling off then toggling on) because I didn’t really see much reason someone would want to exclude. I am guessing maybe cause Artifacts dominate the item section? Maybe you can explain to me why you want an exclude option (or realistically in my implementation it would just change it to be like the tier list, where you can toggle on and off buttons).

For the tier list, there will be an unlisted YouTube guide for how to use it. That’s what the “Video Guide” button will take you to once it is recorded, but it isn’t yet because I wanted to give everyone some time to use it and figure out any bugs / changes I was going to make if any.

Yeah as you said, this would be for cases when I want to have a visual representation of what the best performing comps are WITHOUT artifacts because games with artifacts are not as frequent and they’re too game warping (a unit may go from useless to giga op simply because of an artifact interaction). So seeing a bunch of S+, Op comps that are extremely niche (Vi hero Augment with Unending, which would require you to hit both which will happen once every 50 games) might be something people want to hide for a clearer look of the more standard comps. Again, it’s totally fine that it’s part of the tierlist because the information still helps you win that 1 in 50 game, I’d just like to have the option to alternate between the 2 variations when I’m learning comps — some days I might just want to learn & focus on non-artifact lines for example.

My autism does not like change so it took me a minute to become okay with the new look, and now that I’ve had time to adjust I can see how the changes are helpful. I do appreciate the conditions list looking like a flowchart since it’s a nice compromise. Excited to see what you come up with for the new set.

    Take care and thanks!

Been a minute since I’ve checked out the website because I was doing other things while waiting for set 15 pbe to release, and I want to say I really like the core lines and opener features! I personally find myself wanting to click the flowchart button in place of the tier list button. Being able to sort the flowchart was something you’ve always wanted and makes it a lot easier to find specifically what you’re looking for. I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of info to sift through from the pbe, but it’d be amazing if you have the entire site ready for when it goes live! Looking forward to your development 😀

I know you’ve been getting a ton of criticism for the site update, but I really do think that a lot of it is down to people hating change. I’ve been using the new version and it’s a really big adjustment. Not only is the format totally different, but I’ve found myself using it very differently as well. I’ve been using the site much more outside of game as a tool for studying and then making smaller references to it during the game based on my understanding that I’ve already developed.

As advice for anyone else learning to use the site, here’s the process I’ve been using: study the whole site outside of game, especially focused on the “Conditions” section. You don’t need to memorize it all, but you should have some level of familiarity. Then focus on the “Flowcharts” page when loading into a game/making early augment/artifact anvil decisions. Almost every game the comp that makes most sense for me to play is there. Finally, if I get a niche condition like a specific augment or artifact, I go to the “Tier List” page and use the search bar. I also use the search bar if I just need to quickly find something, though that obviously relies on having enough familiarity from studying.

Honestly, I’ve found the site way more helpful in its new form. Previously, I felt like the site encouraged me to let the site play the game for me. I would be tempted to find whatever my opening conditions were and just follow along down the recommended line. Now I feel like the site is actually helping me learn to recognize lines on my own. Part of this is obviously the fact that we are nearing the end of the set (max familiarity), but I feel more independent when using the site now.

Anyways, thanks Blue. The site has helped me a lot in its previous form, and I anticipate it helping even more going forwards.

completely agree, loving the new changes, much higher ceiling for learning.

  6. Anonymous

really thanks for the whole website, now its way better, will you make some video or something here about the new set before it goes to live server? ex: comps and stuff

No major changes for the meta in the final patch of the set, they really didn’t make any big changes in the “for-fun” patch. Cypher was made stronger by getting an additional condition (Cypher Emblem), Rengar Jinx Reroll is slightly stronger and Nitro is stronger, but outside of that the meta is similar.

For those of you using the website for the first time in a while, the conditions page is the closest representation of the old layout until you feel comfortable to try the newer layout. Starting to work on updating the site for set 15 now!
