Tips & Tricks
  • Best played from AP opener winstreak. If you have Arbiter that provides you Leona copies, can play around the Leona version with Leona 3. Otherwise play standard with Nunu. If you do not streak enough or do not have enough gold for Level 9, play for Vanguard LeBlanc instead.
  • Understanding the midgame for this comp is important. The 3 primary carries you can play around are Zoe, Viktor, and Karma. Since you should be playing this from econ Arbiter, the best carry is Viktor 2 > Zoe 2 > Karma 1. The comp is better if your (2) Psionic item is Drone or Implant.
  • The comp wants to play Vex + Bard duo, but it's difficult to fit Vex on Level 9. The best unit to drop is Pyke which means losing Psionic and a Voyager. It's a big tradeoff, but could be worth if you have Vex items.
  • Technically this comp can be played with Nunu instead of Leona, but the Leona line is much easier to winstreak with and get to Level 9.

Economy Strategy
  1. Without econ augment, fast 9 is almost impossible without win-streak.
  2. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  3. Level to 5, unless on 3-loss streak.
  4. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  5. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  6. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  7. Level to 7, or 8 if you can stay above 30g.
  8. Level to 8. Main difference from Fast 8 is how much you roll on 8. Ideally you are high HP and don't need to roll at all. Otherwise, roll for acceptable board and accumulate gold afterward.
  9. Level to 9 if you are rich enough to roll 40g+. Generally only possible with economy augment or encounter.
  10. Level to 9 if you can roll 40g+ or if low HP.
  11. Level to 9 and roll for important 5-costs. For the remainder of game, roll until you hit your 2 star itemized units. Can consider level 10 after hitting.

who do you put on board at lv10 ?

    1. Waristorm

      Good question..

    2. Anonymous

      rhast

  2. Beamer

    Two Tanky with Leona Print

  3. Beamer

played with this board except Morg over vex because i didnt have a 3rd set of AP Carry items, Leona 3 with triple Stone and the same positioning shown here avoided eating so many Nunus, be aware you cannot force this comp without having 80+ hp and skipping all of stage 4 rolling, if you stop at lvl 8 stage 4 for some 4 cost AP carry 2star you are never getting to 9 and winning out, if you have less than 80hp and like 30+ gold to roll on 9 then play other versions of AP Flex to top 4

  4. oolix

solo plate does not feel OP for this

  5. Beamer

building Shojin feels really bad in this patch but this board can make great use of it, Sona or Bard 1 with Shojin>Nami or Karma 2 they feel a lot stronger even at 1 star

  6. Hayu

this comp worked really well for me replacing vex with aurelion as main carry (the 3* leona version)

  7. Zemlupus

Aura farming Bard is obviously great here. You immediately stabilize and you can go 9 without bleeding. Guess it should be the same with Aura farming Vex.

  8. Beamer

if youre gonna call the comp Vanguard Bard you should put the Bard on the rightside window where it explains the itemization, yeah I know its on the board but still if you hit Bard 2 and have 0 Vex items and no Sona its good to play with standard AP items

  9. zswg

Honestly strong comp but got out tanked by lulu reroll build (pantheon + maokai 3 stars) and i had solo plate leona 3 star with 3 stoneplates. could it be possible to try and fit this backline into a chunckier frontline.

  10. Anonymous

this position get destroyed by Yi and Riven

    1. Author avatarGM Blue

Fixed-ish. Still need to use your head, but generally just want to avoid the tank that walks up on the right side from being too far from the main tank so that when the Yi finishes killing it, he moves to main tank. Also censored your comment, sorry lol

    2. ivern is shinigami

you are right and it remains B tier unless bard gets better burst

  11. Anonymous

Great comp to cap out teemo reroll if on win streak/good econ augment. Keep playing teemo 3 until you hit vex 2 and and zoe 3 can be played over bard 2

  12. Anonymous

Brother, i love your site. But this comp sucks ass, just change bard to vex
