Tips & Tricks
- Riven is best built with melee items, but can accept AP items due to her passive adapting her ability damage based on how much AD / AP she has
- This comp gets much stronger with Space Groove emblem and in general can use emblems well since the comp has many 2 breakpoint traits. Space Groove Emblem also makes missing Blitzcrank much less painful as you can play around Nunu until you hit
- In Patch 17.4, 7 Space Groove was buffed which means playing around 7 Space Groove is far more acceptable than prior patches. The 5 Space Groove board with Emblem is still strong if you can hit Nunu 2 and Kench 2, but that is quite rare so consider playing around 7 Space Groove instead.

Fast 8
- Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
- Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
- Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
- Level to 7.
- Level to 8. Roll for desired comp until stable. "Stable" changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch. Melee carries and tanks get the biggest spike for 2-stars. Usually stable involves 2-star tank or carry and some other supporting 2-stars. Try not to roll below 10g.
- If you are weak (e.g., have no 2-star 4-costs), consider rolling again to 10g here. If you are stable, save gold to go 9.
- If you are low HP and haven't 2-starred your carry and tank, roll to 0g. If you have medium to high HP with an upgraded + itemized 4-cost unit and some other upgrades, save gold to go 9.
- If high HP, consider waiting until 5-5 to go level 9. If medium HP, consider going level 9 if you can roll 20g or wait until 5-5. If low HP and can afford to go 9, do so even if you have almost no gold to roll on 9. If you can't afford to go 9 this game, roll every turn for upgrades.
- Level to 9 if possible. From this point onward, look to level to 9. Acknowledge games where level 9 is not possible and roll every turn on 8 to preserve placements.
- For max cap games, you can either roll on 9 or level to 10. If you are itemizing a 5-cost carry and it is 1-starred, roll on 9. If you have all your main itemized units upgraded, level to 10.

Who is best to put the bastion emblem on?
What is the reason for timebreaker Emblem being considered this good? why ist it better than Bastion or Rouge emblems?
Updated, thanks. It was an old condition before they reworked Timebreaker and reversed the 2 and 3 trait effects. The combat bonus from AS on whole speed was nice, but now it just gives econ benefit which is not as good.
wait i don’t understnad why riven needs the edge of night if the rogue trait practically serves the same purpose. I feel like titan’s resolve or sterak’s would be a much stronger item to suggest.
Because it activates two times. One time at 60% and one time at 50%, proccing them seperately is the challenge
idk how much is 15% effect increase is math-wise. But damn, the new patch 7 space groove is so strong. I’ve even beaten a 500 cashout with it. and putting some mana item on samira is soooo good. Before she would probably provide some cc, but now with 7 space groove, she has so much damage, and casts so much. It blew my mind.
groovin graves should be removed, the stats are bad and i have gotten early graves 3-4 times and kept trying it. just doesnt work with marksman or caster
Agreed, it looks bad now. Removed, thank you.
Armguard is pretty good on Riven as well, people forget that she can also build AP. I can’t say anything about AP Riven without an artifact but Armguard + Emblem + Titan’s rolled over the whole lobby in Emerald at least.
nami is super good on this comp lmfao, I had radiant hoj + sniper emblem + space groove emblem riven and a nami doing the same damage with leftover items: void staff + nashors + deathcap (with jewled lotus augment).
Nami is so weak on this base board its wild
2* Riven with Space groove emblem, striker’s flail and infinity edge was enough to win me the game. Last round got a 3* riven. Lasted maybe 7 seconds.
don’t bother playing this trash comp
Riven with Ludens/BT/Space Groove emblem and felt nice. 2nd to a 2* Vex board.
