Tips & Tricks
  • This is a one unit comp. Every augment, item, or boon that buffs The Mighty Mech will go a long way to making the comp stronger as the goal is to make it as immortal as possible while Aurelion Sol kills the board
  • The Anomaly (item from Ekko's boon) is good on Aurelion Sol so keep that in mind when making boon selections earlier in the game
  • Void Staff can be built on Aurelion Sol and then eventually moved to Karma or Bard once you have a good third item for Aurelion Sol.
  • Can build Striker or AP item over Jeweled Gauntlet on Aurelion Sol with Akali N.O.V.A. Jeweled Gauntlet is still fine even with Akali Precision though as it provides more crit than other crit items.
  • Conduit is not that valuable of a trait for Aurelion Sol, so you can play several flex units in the Conduit slot. Jhin for aura + Dark star, Morgana, or early Graves with items are all viable instead of the typical Bard final board.
  • The Psionic version is not as strong as the others, but it's cheap, helpful if you need a 3rd Aurelion Sol item, and allows you to play Tahm Kench which can help hit your 2-stars with an easy transition to the max cap
  • While Anima items are still good on the Mighty Mech in Patch 17.2, they now require a 400 cashout instead of 300 which makes them notably more challenging to get.

Economy Strategy
  1. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  2. Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  4. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  5. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  6. Level to 7.
  7. Level to 8. Roll for desired comp until stable. "Stable" changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch. Melee carries and tanks get the biggest spike for 2-stars. Usually stable involves 2-star tank or carry and some other supporting 2-stars. Try not to roll below 10g.
  8. If you are weak (e.g., have no 2-star 4-costs), consider rolling again to 10g here. If you are stable, save gold to go 9.
  9. If you are low HP and haven't 2-starred your carry and tank, roll to 0g. If you have medium to high HP with an upgraded + itemized 4-cost unit and some other upgrades, save gold to go 9.
  10. If high HP, consider waiting until 5-5 to go level 9. If medium HP, consider going level 9 if you can roll 20g or wait until 5-5. If low HP and can afford to go 9, do so even if you have almost no gold to roll on 9. If you can't afford to go 9 this game, roll every turn for upgrades.
  11. Level to 9 if possible. From this point onward, look to level to 9. Acknowledge games where level 9 is not possible and roll every turn on 8 to preserve placements.
  12. For max cap games, you can either roll on 9 or level to 10. If you are itemizing a 5-cost carry and it is 1-starred, roll on 9. If you have all your main itemized units upgraded, level to 10.

dont play from expedition in 17.3, youll be behind till 4-1 and cant hit 2 star mecha because everyone and their grandma plays this unit.

  2. ivern is shinigami

build is fun but not sure if it can be forced or not

  3. Tamriel

Kayle’s boon still S tier? Don’t think so

  4. Anonymous

subscription service pris aug makes this comp go brrrrrrr

  5. Aatrox Enjoyer

Capped at Vex/Graves at 9 instead of Karma/Jhin. Vex is top 3 AP and since Fiora was contested, I put fighter items on Graves 2. 10 streak to 1st place, everyone should look into this if they get lucky with 5 costs in shop because it overpowers Dark Star/Voyagers. Also Blitz can throw TMM back and win rounds, Tahm Kench 1st row and TMM 2nd helped not make it even close.

  6. Anonymous

Pandoras Bench seems very strong with this combo. It allows to hit 2* Mecha early to stabilize. While in high elo results might be different blocking 4 3* 4 Costs at the same time is difficult – you get lucky every now and then when the first players die.

  7. BlockBoys

Double gargoyle + steraks Galio seems to be a lot better in the stats, as opposed to titans

  8. Duddo

anyone knows if you can have salvage bin + god kayle combo? because you could force a radiant gargoyle with that.

  9. Anonymous

how Expedition augment is S+ tier on this comp?

    1. Bin

      Guaranteed radiant item

    2. Dutzie

It let’s you make one of your items radiant, so you can get radiant gargoyle.

    3. momonga

i just finished a game where i got expedition but not a single armor the entire game so i couldnt build stoneplate 🙂

      1. Low Master Noob

Thats what makes the game great… no forcing from 2-1..

  10. I Sniff Tampons

Tried this comp with Anima Cashout. Swapping Maokai and Akali for Max Cap with Fiora and Tahm Kench.

  11. Average TFT Enjoyer

Deadlier Caps makes A. sol a beast in late if you have a strong early and farm rabadon kills in early/mid game, just ended a game with a rabadon with +120%+ bonus ap.

  12. Anonymous

Love this website. I always share it to my friend whenever they ask me for the lineups

  13. complys

should we move items from urgot 2 to fiora 2?

    1. Dutzie

      Absolutely

  14. complys

If I’m on level 8 with Karma 2* and find Morgana in shop, do I just keep Morgana on the bench until I get 2* or I replace Karma instead even tho Morgana is 1*?

    1. Author avatarGM Blue

Keep the Karma most of the time. Whether to hold Morgana on bench depends on whether you are going 9 soon or if you need to roll deeper on 8 for Galio + Aurelion Sol. If you have your upgrades already, then holding Morgana on bench is reasonable (it’s also reasonable to sell her though to make econ intervals since there are quite a few flex level 9 slots). If you don’t have your upgrades, you’ll probably just sell her to hit Galio 2 Aurelion Sol 2.

  15. Anonymous

Would you consider “Solo plate” be a strong conditions to play Mecha?

    1. Author avatarGM Blue

Yes, not sure how I forgot to add it here lol … Thanks

      1. Anonymous

but sadly 2 gargoyle dont stack up in this augment

  16. Anonymous

    How to play with Expedition?

  17. Anonymous

I would add Lioness’s Lament as a “OP” for mech items(would replace titans). It only requires a 300-400 cashout and makes the comp number in the 1.x’s in stats. It’s definitely the best anima lower item for the comp.

  18. Anonymous

EXPEDITION AUGMENT VERY POWERFUL WITH THIS COMPOSITION

    1. Anonymous

      Why?

      1. Author avatarGM Blue

It gives a Masterwork consumable, guarantees Radiant Gargoyle.

    2. cod

      yea why?

    nice
