Tips & Tricks
  • General Kha'Zix upgrade order is Ravager > Executioner or Spellweaver > Rapidfire. Executioner is better than Spellweaver if you have an Executioner.
  • Avoid playing from spots where you can't itemize either Rengar or Kha'Zix early as the early takedowns help this comp stay on tempo.
  • Gargoyle can be difficult to build in this line due to how important Edge of Night and Titan's are. It's fine if you can't build Gargoyle. Edge of Night on both carries and Titans on Rengar is more important
  • Last Whisper is better than Evenshroud, but the reality is it's much harder to build because the first two Bow's in this line almost always go to Rageblade + Titan's. Red Buff is also better than Last Whisper since Evenshroud is easier to build than Sunfire (due to how important Chains are).
  • The end result is this: Sometimes it's hard to get Hecarim tanky enough to solo frontline because you can't afford to build Gargoyle on him or you have to put Evenshroud on him. In cases like these, consider a more traditional positioning like the one in "Weak Hecarim" variation.
  • Generally it is better to itemize Rengar before Kha'Zix as he farms gold which helps hit the board.

  1. Level to 4 if strong.
  2. Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. Level to 6, unless it places you below 30g.
  4. Stay level 6, unless you can stay above 50g on 7 or you are below 40 HP and can stay above 30g on 7.
  5. Level to 7, roll until board mostly upgraded. Never go below 10g even if missing tank or carry.
  6. Build up to 50g, slow roll to 50g until 5-1.
  7. If below ~25 HP, sometimes you must roll until you hit here. Not ideal.
  8. Roll until you hit 3-star carry and tank. Can go to 0g. Only greed gold if you are above ~60 HP.
  9. If you hit, you can level to 8. Otherwise stay 7. Holds true for every round for the rest of the game.

    Just played Fishbones on Rengar and it felt pretty bad as it led to him not jumping at all. Might be a skill issue but wouldn’t recommend it.
