Tips & Tricks
  • This comp is noticeably better with a N.O.V.A. Emblem as it is hard to fit all desired units without an emblem. The N.O.V.A. emblem strike is also the best. Play it on Yi 2 until you hit Fiora 2.
  • Prioritize carry items over tank items in this line. Ideally have Kindred, Master Yi, and Fiora items by the end of the game. Can build tank items if you don't have a carry to itemize or for antiheal
  • Without an emblem, 4 N.O.V.A. is often strongest board as it allows you to fit both Bel'Veth and Tahm Kench. Caitlyn with 5 N.O.V.A. is worth considering, especially since her Strike is quite good, but often having the better frontline and traits is better after upgrades
  • Tank options are Tahm Kench, Maokai, and Rammus. Remain flexible to what you hit. The board isn't fixed. You should play what you hit. The example board is the typical final board, but you should be open minded to Rammus, 5 N.O.V.A. or even Urgot
  • Before the 17.1b nerf to N.O.V.A. Emblem strike, it was always the best option. Now it looks like either Maokai (if itemized) or Caitlyn (if on the board and Maokai is not itemized) are better options.
  • With Emblem, 6 N.O.V.A. is completely fine if it's your best board. Caitlyn's N.O.V.A. buff is quite good, so if you don't have an upgraded unit to play that makes the board noticeably better, feel free to just play Caitlyn (Graves variation shows this).

Economy Strategy
  1. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  2. Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  4. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  5. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  6. Level to 7.
  7. Level to 8. Roll for desired comp until stable. "Stable" changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch. Melee carries and tanks get the biggest spike for 2-stars. Usually stable involves 2-star tank or carry and some other supporting 2-stars. Try not to roll below 10g.
  8. If you are weak (e.g., have no 2-star 4-costs), consider rolling again to 10g here. If you are stable, save gold to go 9.
  9. If you are low HP and haven't 2-starred your carry and tank, roll to 0g. If you have medium to high HP with an upgraded + itemized 4-cost unit and some other upgrades, save gold to go 9.
  10. If high HP, consider waiting until 5-5 to go level 9. If medium HP, consider going level 9 if you can roll 20g or wait until 5-5. If low HP and can afford to go 9, do so even if you have almost no gold to roll on 9. If you can't afford to go 9 this game, roll every turn for upgrades.
  11. Level to 9 if possible. From this point onward, look to level to 9. Acknowledge games where level 9 is not possible and roll every turn on 8 to preserve placements.
  12. For max cap games, you can either roll on 9 or level to 10. If you are itemizing a 5-cost carry and it is 1-starred, roll on 9. If you have all your main itemized units upgraded, level to 10.

Just ran this comp with bastion emblem on yi and felt really strong ngl.
70% attack speed after 10 secs feels good

  2. Beamer

+2 emblems and this comp still sucks, 100% sure the emblems are bugged never select the emblem, always Maokai or Kindred/Cait, coast to top 4/top5

  3. Anonymous

Can this comp be played from a 10 lose streak? Or i it a purely winstreak fast 8 comp?

    1. Anonymous

Works but then it’s best to rely on good econ augments, and I think at some competitive level it gets harder to get through it

    2. Anonymous

played this from a lose streak. if by lvl 7 or 8 you have at least 1 carry that could use the emblem and maokai with decent items, it could work. at least top 4. after you stabilize, econ back up and push for level 9 to 2-star your 5 costs.

  4. Anonymous

    this is insane

Hi there, tbh i’ve been comparing different webpages and i found many details in this one about this comp in specific, so im so happy for that, it served me to be consistent and understanding. thank you very much for your effort and service for community.
