Tips & Tricks
- Ideally play from Leona in orb. Roll on 2-3 for Bard and use the free rolls on Level 7 on 3-5 to hit Leona 2. Theoretically can also 3-7 Leona. Do not use your actual gold to dig for Leona 2 on 3-5 (only use free rolls). Having an econ augment on 2-1 to help hit Leona 2 and unlock Bard is great.
- Position Diana similar to Zed and Akali from the last two sets. Default to 3rd hex from left or right for hitting corner in most cases
- If you unlock Xerath, can move Seraphine’s items onto him
- Combat augments are generally ideal for helping Diana go infinite, as long as you can reasonably hit Leona 2 for unlocking Diana. Take econ if you need help hitting Leona 2 or your econ is behind
- Taric is commonly played. The Shuriman units are flexible slots that can be any high quality flex unit such as Taric, Senna, Fiddlesticks, etc.
- On your level 8 rolldown, you must be flexible. Consider Taric, Lucian, Fiddlesticks, Nautilus, or whatever upgrades you can find to stabilize with Diana 2. The ideal endgame board plays the standard Swain Vi Neeko Shyvana package, but be open minded before you hit your 5 costs.
- Skarner is a flexible option as well, but typically you won’t be able to unlock him on 3-7 because your first chain and cloak must build Titans and Bloodthirster.

Economy Strategy
- Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
- Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
- Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
- Level to 7.
- Level to 8. Roll for desired comp until stable. “Stable” changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch. Melee carries and tanks get the biggest spike for 2-stars. Usually stable involves 2-star tank or carry and some other supporting 2-stars. Try not to roll below 10g.
- If you are weak (e.g., have no 2-star 4-costs), consider rolling again to 10g here. If you are stable, save gold to go 9.
- If you are low HP and haven’t 2-starred your carry and tank, roll to 0g. If you have medium to high HP with an upgraded + itemized 4-cost unit and some other upgrades, save gold to go 9.
- If high HP, consider waiting until 5-5 to go level 9. If medium HP, consider going level 9 if you can roll 20g or wait until 5-5. If low HP and can afford to go 9, do so even if you have almost no gold to roll on 9. If you can’t afford to go 9 this game, roll every turn for upgrades.
- Level to 9 if possible. From this point onward, look to level to 9. Acknowledge games where level 9 is not possible and roll every turn on 8 to preserve placements.
- For max cap games, you can either roll on 9 or level to 10. If you are itemizing a 5-cost carry and it is 1-starred, roll on 9. If you have all your main itemized units upgraded, level to 10.





imo Know Your Enemy is good on this comp. Having future sight means you can always position Diana to snipe enemy carry, and because of the traits on this board you almost always get the extra damage amp. (EUW GM)
How is Diana with Darkin Bow instead of Rageblade? Is there a good Darkin Weapon for this comp?

unlocking Bard on 2-3 is good to farm rerolls from a lose streak (and get some econ back with wins) for an easier leona/diana roll-down on 7
yordle start is literal bait, it makes you unlock kennen which dilutes the 3 cost pool so it makes it harder to get leona, so nice guide 🙃
Drop the Leona as soon as you have a proper replacement frontline. Leona Ult scams Dianas targeting.
Heads up, the name Diana Flex is kinda bait. Whilst she is strong and will snipe your opponents carry, she is not the real carry. Don’t ignore itemizing seraphine and the shurimans or annie if you’re playing that variant as they are the ones that truly carry. Else your diana will fail to kill the opponent’s strong frontline and then you come to this comment section and whine about it.

Why lich bane on seraphine? Just curious
seraphine has 20 mana so she casts often. combined with shojin for more casts and lich’s bane which give you a massive auto after each cast it makes a lot of sense
idk i got lich bane and had your build on sera 2 diana 2 with bis azir 1 shyvana1 swain 2* and it felt anything from OP tier.
I know i mostly lost because i got leona 2* pretty late, but still not sure if that’s OP even on stats.

It’s hard for me to really explain this if you don’t get it from reviewing the game, but you didn’t have Diana 2 until 5-5 according to the link you provided. Your entire frontline was 1 star for all of Stage 4 and Stage 5. Your Seraphine was doing nearly 10k damage every fight, but she can’t do anything if the supporting cast is entirely 1 star. According to this, you never saw your first Swain until 5-3 and while you 2-starred him the next round, it was too late (AND you kept your items on a Nasus 1 over Swain 2). You rolled 15 times on level 7 to hit Leona 2, putting you behind tempo for the rest of the game. It’s a miracle you went 5th, and a testament of how strong the comp is more than how weak it is.
I’m not typing this to belittle your experience, but more to explain how your spot was bad and any comp from a bad spot will bot 4. It should hopefully be obvious that if you’re nearly a stage behind tempo, you are going to bot 4. You mention yourself it’s mostly hitting Leona 2 late, but I feel like you are REALLY underselling just how far behind you were. 15 rolls on 7 and a late 4-5 level 8 is insane.
yo just a headsup, yall should look to replace leona ASAP. her burn from ult makes diana cast spread out across the board, making it harder to focus her casts on cornered carries.
DemacianRaptor tweeted Jedusor is playing diana with a build of rageblade bt titans instead of the crit build so I wanted to share that. I haven’t seen it in action, but looking at stats with filters of plat+ diana 2 3 items + seraphine – asol is showing it at a 3.30avp -0.64 delta 18%wr
Yeah, it looks super BiS. I changed it, not sure what to do with the artifact builds yet because I don’t know what is “vital” with that build, so keeping those the same for now. Guessing Mittens will be quite good over Rageblade too, will update when it catches on more.
Could you elaborate why these items are better for diana? It seems a bit counterintuitive

Hard to play. Had sands of Shurima augment, but got very late Leona and thus Diana. I need to work on stabilizing boards in stage 3
