Tips & Tricks
- Play 5 Crystal on 7 when rerolling for Malzahar and Swain for as long as possible, ideally until you are 1 or 2 losses away from death. The goal is to accumulate as many resources as possible. Use the dropdown above the board to see the Level 7 board.
- Manazane looks good even factoring in that you can get it from Crystal Gambit (excluding Crystal Gambit, it is roughly tied with Blighting Jewel)
- In Patch 15.7, Malzahar was bug fixed so that when an afflicted enemy dies, it always passes 1 stack of his ability instead of 2. This was a major part in why he was so strong and thus he is noticeably weaker in Patch 15.7.
- Given that Malzahar is weaker in Patch 15.7 and 5 Crystal cashouts were nerfed, generally only angle this line from spots where you are ahead of tempo and uncontested on Swain

Economy Strategy
- Level to 4 if strong.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6, unless it places you below 30g.
- Stay level 6, unless you can stay above 50g on 7 or you are below 40 HP and can stay above 30g on 7.
- Level to 7, roll until board mostly upgraded. Never go below 10g even if missing tank or carry.
- Build up to 50g, slow roll to 50g until 5-1.
- If below ~25 HP, sometimes you must roll until you hit here. Not ideal.
- Roll until you hit 3-star carry and tank. Can go to 0g. Only greed gold if you are above ~60 HP.
- If you hit, you can level to 8. Otherwise stay 7. Holds true for every round for the rest of the game.
manazane has even higher delta in stats maybe add it?
Added — it’s slightly better than Blighting, some of the stats are inflated by Crystal Gambit cashing out a Manazane so need to factor that in. Still his best artifact, just not as insane as stats imply.

I think the final comp should have zyra imo. i feel like dropping 5 CG makes sense for adding in more 5 costs, but trying to add in a highly contested ryze late game for more stats is pointless. zyra is the only other unit doing any damage besides malz. I would drop syndra for 2 star seraphine if anything.
This comp is actually crazy dogshit, you can hit 3 star malz on like late stage 3 and lose to the most average janna reroll board
Any reason why Ryze is in the front?
Extra tanking unit, he won’t do any damage anyway
To add to Logic301’s answer, it is also because Strategist provides Ryze with 225 shielding to further pad the tanking unit bit.
