Tips & Tricks
  • Ideally you can get to level 10 for Baron, but this is not the only gameplan. Void can stabilize on Level 8, so consider a mixture of econ, item, and combat augments if it suits your spot better than going full econ. Eventually you can go level 10 after you hit Kai’Sa and Rift Herald 2.
  • Remember that Rift Herald requires you to play Void early to unlock. Kai’Sa also doesn’t unlock until the round AFTER you go level 8 and have 3 items on a Longshot unit. Ideally do not roll on 8 until BOTH Rift Herald and Kai’Sa are unlocked
  • Play around 4 Void on Level 8 typically rather than 6 Void (see the dropdown for example of a level 8 board that requires no 5-costs). Either Skarner or Taric can be played in the flex slot
  • Max cap for Void involves dropping down to 6 after unlocking Baron, but you should wait until you have at least one major upgraded unit before doing so. Play high quality 4 and 5-costs instead of Void units.
  • The best Void Mods on 2 and 4 Void are Iron Carapace and Spitter Spines. Consider playing Void if you have any Void opener with these mods on 2 and 4. Adrenaline modules is guaranteed, but a weak offensive option compared to Spitter Spines so ideally it is your 6 Void mod instead of 2 or 4.

Economy Strategy
  1. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  2. Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  4. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  5. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  6. Level to 7.
  7. Level to 8. Roll for desired comp until stable. “Stable” changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch. Melee carries and tanks get the biggest spike for 2-stars. Usually stable involves 2-star tank or carry and some other supporting 2-stars. Try not to roll below 10g.
  8. If you are weak (e.g., have no 2-star 4-costs), consider rolling again to 10g here. If you are stable, save gold to go 9.
  9. If you are low HP and haven’t 2-starred your carry and tank, roll to 0g. If you have medium to high HP with an upgraded + itemized 4-cost unit and some other upgrades, save gold to go 9.
  10. If high HP, consider waiting until 5-5 to go level 9. If medium HP, consider going level 9 if you can roll 20g or wait until 5-5. If low HP and can afford to go 9, do so even if you have almost no gold to roll on 9. If you can’t afford to go 9 this game, roll every turn for upgrades.
  11. Level to 9 if possible. From this point onward, look to level to 9. Acknowledge games where level 9 is not possible and roll every turn on 8 to preserve placements.
  12. For max cap games, you can either roll on 9 or level to 10. If you are itemizing a 5-cost carry and it is 1-starred, roll on 9. If you have all your main itemized units upgraded, level to 10.

Who holds Baron items in the midgame? 2* Reksai is terrible and Belveth doesn’t synergise well with those items.

    1. Author avatarGM Blue

You don’t build Baron items at all in midgame unless you have close to guaranteed path to 10 (Prismatic Econ + Rek’Sai 2 tempo or Prismatic Econ + another econ augment, Scuttle Puddle, etc.).

  2. David

Baron is obviously amazing but if you get BIS Bel’veth, you don’t even need him to get top 2. I climbed to Dia 1 forcing Void and I only got Baron in around 50% of those games. Bel’veth can do crazy damage with Kraken’s and QSS.

    1. Anonymous

Do you run the same comp set ups he has listed here when you main carry Bel’veth or do you run something different?

  3. RG

Late Game Scaling should be added =D Good XP and helps Voli and Baron

  4. Anonymous

Since herald has been nerfed, is it still correct to move items from 2* cho to 1* herald at 3-5, or should they stay on cho?

  5. random

Alt Build number 2 on kai’sa ,why flickerblade + rageblade at the same time ?

  6. Tweed

Hard Bargain is quite good on this comp as it can mitigate some of the gold & health needed

  7. Anonymous

Baron needs a big nerf. It beats every fast 9 comp with just 3 econ augments

    1. Anonymous

Who would’ve thought a 10 max cap board beats a 9 max cap board

  8. SSA

Hey Blue, i have been forcing Void for a while now, and every time i get the Golden Dragon augment (upgraded Mogul’s Mail) its freelo. It fits perfectly through lvl 8 and saving for lvl 10. It fits Rift Herald so well (Spirits visage, Gargoyle/Warmogs and Mogul’s Mail). So unkillable

  9. Kravst

ty so much for the guide, i was getting a bit stuck but with the guide now i climbed back

  10. yuumi

I also like to collect ambessa when rolling in 8 to make 2* 4 costs, since it can hit 2* and unlock mell, that would print an item + gives an option playing lvl 9 with 6 void + ambessa mel sion, that close 3 Noxus/2 Dispuptor/2 Bruiser/2 Vanquisher and in level 10 keep only Mel +9 void

  11. koan

what do you think about yby1 kaisa stuff guinsoo/archangel/void ? he does it often

    1. Anonymous

I itemezed GR + JG + VS and I killed 2 Sylas 2 Annie comp like a butter. I wasn’t even 10 at that moment. Kai’sa carried single handedly

  12. Anonymous

Belveth with only QSS HOJ deals more dmg than Kaisa double RB + GB no interrupted.

  13. Anonymous

rift herald gets voli unlock on 2 star with void item, slot in bruiser if void items dont match

  14. Anonymous

Idk why theres no bruiser in this build or note. Rift Herald didnt hit the req. HP for voli on 2star even with 2 warmongs…

    1. Kravst

Clearly instead of Voli you just use any other Bruiser. Anyways, without Bruiser and only 1 Warmog + 2 random tank items you should hit 3k800 hp with no problem

  15. TFTRap

Is it worth picking up evolve and overcome if that shows up for this comp? Or is it more of a bait augment?

  16. Anonymous

how do you get 40% omni for aatrox?

    1. Author avatarGM Blue

Need 2 omnivamp items on Belveth, then move the 2nd Omnivamp item to either Aatrox or Kai’Sa if it’s gunblade.

      1. Kitty

Wonder if this is a tip that should be added to the tips and tricks:
Aatrox unlock: Need 2 Slayer and BT + any other omnivamp item. (Could do it without Slayer, but you’d need 2x BT)
Volibear unlock: (Probably) Need 2 Bruiser. (Had 3750 health with a different mutation on Rift Herald. It does give health, but forgot how much. Was also using the items you suggested above.)

  17. unimentil

Nice to see the site up and running! Looks like you were able to slot in void mutations where the powerups existed, that’s pretty cool! In my opinion and 1 game of experience, calc loss can also be a good condition for this comp since you can just 8 loss to unlock herald, and then you’re pretty strong through the rest of stage 3/early stage 4 either taking good losses or winning fights until you get to kaisa where you can really stabilize.
