Tips & Tricks
  • Ryze has MANY final board states. You can view some of them using the dropdown menu above the board. The dropdown also scrolls; don’t miss out on the variations that you need to scroll to see!
  • The opener provided shows the core units that are typically used to unlock Ryze. For your actual opener, any strong AP opener will work so play what you hit
  • You can easily field a Targon unit for Ryze on most of these boards on level 10 if there isn’t a Targon unit on level 9.
  • The most common way to unlock Ryze is using the Xin Zhao + Kennen + Poppy + Any Demacia Unit + Any Ionia Unit + Any Targon unit package. Most boards will involve these 4 units + Azir + Shurima unit
  • The Sylas Galio version requires you to first angle toward 7 Demacia, unlocking Galio, and then selling Lux + Garen + Jarvan and transitioning into the Ryze board. It requires a lot of gold, but should cap very high.

Release a runic blast, dealing 280/420/1500 (scaleAP Icon) magic damage. It splits in two, dealing 33% of the damage to the closest two enemies. Each secondary blast splits an additional time.

Bilgewater: Blasts explode on impact, dealing 20% of the damage as physical damage to adjacent enemies.

Demacia: Execute targets below 23% (scaleArmor IconscaleMR Icon) Health.

Freljord: Chill targets for 4 seconds and deal 55/99/178 (scaleHealth Icon) bonus true damage.

Ionia: Blasts split an additional time.

Ixtal: Gain a random Region’s effect on combat start and every 10 seconds.

Noxus: Blasts now pierce targets, dealing 60% reduced damage per enemy hit.

Piltover: Every third cast is Overcharged, dealing 40% more damage.

Shadow Isles: Increase blast damage by 5% (scaleSouls Icon).

Shurima: Knock up enemies for 0.5 seconds, with a chance to dredge up Gold or Treasures.

Targon: Heal the lowest Health ally for 10% of the damage dealt.

Void:
Ignore 30% of enemies’ Armor and Magic Resistance.

Yordle: Shrink targets hit, lowering their damage by 12% percent for 4 seconds.

Zaun: Poison targets, dealing 20/30/500 magic damage 3 (scaleAS Icon) times over 4 seconds.
Economy Strategy
  1. Without econ augment, fast 9 is almost impossible without win-streak.
  2. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  3. Level to 5, unless on 3-loss streak.
  4. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  5. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  6. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  7. Level to 7, or 8 if you can stay above 30g.
  8. Level to 8. Main difference from Fast 8 is how much you roll on 8. Ideally you are high HP and don’t need to roll at all. Otherwise, roll for acceptable board and accumulate gold afterward.
  9. Level to 9 if you are rich enough to roll 20g+. Generally only possible with economy augment or encounter.
  10. Level to 9 if you can roll 20g+ or if low HP.
  11. Level to 9 and roll for important 5-costs. For the remainder of game, roll until you hit your 2 star itemized units. Can consider level 10 after hitting.
