Tips & Tricks
  • After the B-patch, Fast 9 has become less consistent. This is partially due to the 6 Yordle nerf, but also partially due to the Fast 9 boards being less stable before hitting 2-stars. The net effect is Fast 9 requires more gold to stabilize than before, reducing the amount of Fast 9 in the meta.
  • The main tech options for going 9 are Yordles, Bilgewater, and Path of Enlightened Ionia. Then combine them with as many econ augments as possible
  • For Yordles, you want to rush to 4 Yordle as soon as possible (remember to unlock Poppy by itemizing a Demacian or Yordle unit). This guarantees you get a Yordle unit every shop which makes upgrades easy to hit which then unlocks Kennen, at which point you can play 6 Yordle on 3-1.
  • With Yordles, you can use some of your free rerolls to save HP in Stage 3. Aim to level to 8 by 4-1 and play 8 Yordle all of Stage 4. Go 9 on 4-7 / 5-1, pivot out of Yordles, and play toward one of the several meta level 9 comps. Ideally play for Sylas.
  • With Bilgewater, you can play into the Bilgewater flex line (get upgrades, rush Lucky Doubloon, get 7 Bilge items through toggling, play 3 Bilge during combat). Alternatively, you can use the Bilge shop to tempo and get gold to help fast 9
  • With Path of Enlightened Ionia, play from strong Ionia openers and try to get as much XP as possible from the trait. Often you’ll stay in Ionia, but can eventually transition into Kindred Fast 9 boards

Economy Strategy
  1. Without econ augment, fast 9 is almost impossible without win-streak.
  2. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  3. Level to 5, unless on 3-loss streak.
  4. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  5. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  6. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  7. Level to 7, or 8 if you can stay above 30g.
  8. Level to 8. Main difference from Fast 8 is how much you roll on 8. Ideally you are high HP and don’t need to roll at all. Otherwise, roll for acceptable board and accumulate gold afterward.
  9. Level to 9 if you are rich enough to roll 40g+. Generally only possible with economy augment or encounter.
  10. Level to 9 if you can roll 40g+ or if low HP.
  11. Level to 9 and roll for important 5-costs. For the remainder of game, roll until you hit your 2 star itemized units. Can consider level 10 after hitting.

    This is a general question, actually about your 1/2/3 cost reroll econ/leveling guide. How do augments like Invested effect that? Should you still do big roll downs at certain break points regardless of econ, or try to stick above those thresholds for the augments?

    You should add some endgame boards to go for after getting 9. I just got to level 9 in 4-4 with a lot of gold to roll down but I have no clue what board should i aim for 🙁

    hi GM MR Blue by the way as I go 9 with yordels I play 8 yordle with ziggs and my kenen will be 3 as my main tank and I’ll get senna as ad carry I’ll keep it untill I get enough box of gold to transition at 10 going like this kennen kubuku teemo trist ziggs senna fiddle volybear shyvana garren or zilean I usually win with this but I have to dominate early to mid game with this

      The important part is going lv9, so if you happen upon a 3 star along the way then great, but otherwise focus on your late game board.

    try to get gold from iona. bard give you free roll and champion. use draven asap to get gold. guinsoo’s rageblade very good for draven. free rolls help you defense in later game to fast 9. this guide i watch from a china player. good luck

      Actually saw this in a few games its not bad– prio being strong though because gonna need that HP to bleed a few rounds in stage 4 and 5 before you’re stable

      it doesnt really matter since if you Unlock a unit and do not have a copy of it on your board/bench, you will see it less often. If you continue to not purchase this unit and not have it on your board or bench, it will appear less and less down to a minimum of 20% of the normal appearance rate for that unit.

      This isn’t the final board, you play this from early to mid till you hit Level 9 then transition into strong 5 cost carries like Annie + Sylas.
