Tips & Tricks
- Tryndamere seems strong with several Radiant and Artifact items. Angle this line especially if you have a strong Artifact or Radiant for him with Ashe Quickstriker opener
- Level 8 unit is flexible. Play Nidalee if you hit Neeko 3, otherwise can play any flexible unit like Kindred, Fiddlesticks, Shyvana, Taric, Skarner, etc.
- Tryndamere and Neeko / Sejuani items are more important than Ashe items.
- Can play around Ixtal version instead of Noxus version if you hit early Ixtal
- Precision and Grace causes Tryndamere to take aggro before tanks in default positioning. Might be able to prevent if you move your tank to 2nd row so it also dashes. Otherwise, place Tryndamere 4th row on weak side so he doesn’t get killed immediately.
- However, Precision and Grace is completely busted with Darkin Scythe as it procs the slash effect for each dash. Position on weak side and you’ll clear an enemy’s entire board in seconds.
- Sejuani is a better tank than Neeko, but is often difficult to hit on 6. Go for whichever one you have more copies of when rolling on 6. In most games, that will be Neeko but it could be Sejuani. Be open minded to both as the goal is to just have a 3 star tank. When both are 2 starred, itemize Sej.

Economy Strategy
- Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6. Roll until stable. “Stable” changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch, but generally speaking it involves 2-starring your desired 2-cost carry and a tank with items. Major divergence between elos: The lower your elo, the less upgrades you need to be “stable” and thus lower elo players should generally roll less than high elo players on 3-2.
- After your 3-2 rolldown, you should attempt to rebuild your economy to 50g.
- Once you reach 50g (it might be later than 3-5), start slow rolling down to ~52g each turn. Try to avoid rolling to exactly 50g as any unit you want to buy in shop will put you below 50g.
- If you are high HP relative to the lobby, continue slow rolling to 52g each turn. If you are lower HP, you should roll to hit your first 2-cost 3 star on 4-1 or 4-2. If you have to roll below 30g, your placement is usually capped at 3rd or 4th.
- If you are still high HP (70+), you can continue to slow roll. Otherwise, in the majority of cases, you should roll deep for your 3-stars here. If your HP is low, you can even go to 0 gold looking for your 3-stars. If you have your 3-stars and can afford to level to 7 with 10g+, do so.
- Level to 7 if you haven’t already.
- Level to 8 as soon as possible. This may not happen until 5-5 or in some games, stage 6.
- Level to 9 whenever possible. This is rare, but can happen in the games you have a chance of winning.

this is another nidalee check
this comp went 2nd both games i played today in masters, likely because the lobby was very weak first stage but should be considered going to b tier maybe
Itemizing Nidalee is more important than ashe probably, Nidalee hits like a truck while ashe tickles the tanks.
retribution might be a great choice for this since it has nidalee aswell
should we still run seju 3 star
Nida very good in the normal comp, highly recommend.
When do you go Ixtal version? when it’s the 3 ixtal for 17 rounds mission? I mean that sounds more like a variation of Ixtal rather than trynda/ashe but yeah, it’s probably bonkers and guaranteed top 2. It’s also sej 3 if you hit the 50/50 on the 550 cashout (if it’s possible). Will definitely be on the lookout for this.
Darkin scythe is trash
Why the switch to Neko 3* and itemized over Sej 3?
Easier to hit, allows you to play Nidalee on Level 8 (forgot to swap over to Nidalee level 8 on board, my bad).
What’s the benefit to Nid over Kindred for QS?
I can think of a few reasons:
– QS 2 > 3 does very little for your board. Tryndamere is your carry, he won’t gain any benefits from the higher QS levels, unless he has an emblem.
– Kindred is always contested, often by multiple people as well. This makes it harder to get her in general, and almost impossible to 2-star her.
– Your comp is extremely AD heavy, having some AP damage can be nice + you can get rid of AP items on Nidalee. She can also use TG very well, which is nice.
Precision and Grace felt weird for me. Not sure if there is a specific positioning you need to do for it, but my trynd kept getting agro instantly by enemy backline which ended up costing some crucial wins in the early stages. Eventually was able to have enough front line to make this less of an issue but still required weird positionings
For me this augment is crazy. Some enemy champs made 0 damage. Everyone suffered insta kill 😅
Had the darkin scythe aswell
Ah yeah I can see it being really good with scythe since you just mow people down
i think a flex unit like senna, shyvanna, fiddlesticks or even taric could be a better option at level 8 compared to yunara since they benefit both trynd and ashe instead of just giving ashe a bit more attack speed which she already has plenty of, kindred would be the best option due to it giving both quickstriker and more importantly the death immunity
I second the ‘Precision and Grace’. The dash to the opponents lessens so much time for ‘Tryndalmere’ travelling between champs to take damage before dealing damage himself. TBF I did have ‘Gold Collector’ on ‘Tryndalmere’ as well which I think is another good item for him since he is just instant executing enemies then moves on.
The essentially followed the Darkin Scythe build but swapped it out for Gold Collector, which I found to be a very good item but not quite as good as Darkin Scythe.
Precision and Grace + Darkin Scythe is instant first.
Trynda with Darkin Scythe, IE and Quicksilver is oneshotting everything.
Definetly OP-Tier
soul awakening on this comp is broken
Agreed, added. Generally a good combat augment
Its not THAT good since the attack damage bonuses are additive to tryndamere’s ult but its still very good, i think Tiny but deadly is a better option
Thank you for this one
what about on a roll? It feels really good with this comp
is it better to itemize 2* swain or 2* sejuani given that seju gets a lot more hp from the freljord buff?
swain 2* is better even considering the hp buff from frejlord
If I got the darkin bow who should I applied it to tryn or ashe
darkin bow is better on trynd then ashe, but if you get the unsealed from steel augment where you can pick you should pick the scythe as it looks better in the stats
Why do you sometimes not put units next to the Freljord tower? Like the Swain here, couldn’t you place him to the right of the tower to get the health bonus?
To avoid clumping. There are many clump punishes in this set. You can greed the tower more if you don’t see any punishes in your pool, but that’s unlikely so better to just default to having some units off to the side.
You might want to add Pandora’s as a +1 mod just because of how many bows are needed
A Yasuo Ionia Slayers version has gotten me top 4 a couple of times. Something to look into.
Yasuo reroll is on the site https://tftflow.com/composition/set16/yasuo-reroll-2
