- Kobuko is flexible. Play around Kennen if you have items on Ahri / Neeko. Braum and Swain are also viable options. Most games you will play Kobuko or Kennen.
- Seraphine can use most items. Throw whatever you have on her. Mana items, crit items, damage amp items, and stat items (even if they are tank) are completely fine.
- If you get Best Defense Power Up or Unending Despair on Poppy, Steraks and Vow become best in slot. They are generally good items on Poppy regardless.
- Item augments are highly impactful on this comp as each Star Guardian unit can do quite a bit of damage. Xayah holds utility items such as Last Whisper, Void Staff, Red Buff, and Morello especially well if you have full items on the key units.

Economy Strategy
- Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
- Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
- Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
- Level to 7.
- Level to 8. Roll for desired comp until stable. “Stable” changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch. Melee carries and tanks get the biggest spike for 2-stars. Usually stable involves 2-star tank or carry and some other supporting 2-stars. Try not to roll below 10g.
- If you are weak (e.g., have no 2-star 4-costs), consider rolling again to 10g here. If you are stable, save gold to go 9.
- If you are low HP and haven’t 2-starred your carry and tank, roll to 0g. If you have medium to high HP with an upgraded + itemized 4-cost unit and some other upgrades, save gold to go 9.
- If high HP, consider waiting until 5-5 to go level 9. If medium HP, consider going level 9 if you can roll 20g or wait until 5-5. If low HP and can afford to go 9, do so even if you have almost no gold to roll on 9. If you can’t afford to go 9 this game, roll every turn for upgrades.
- Level to 9 if possible. From this point onward, look to level to 9. Acknowledge games where level 9 is not possible and roll every turn on 8 to preserve placements.
- For max cap games, you can either roll on 9 or level to 10. If you are itemizing a 5-cost carry and it is 1-starred, roll on 9. If you have all your main itemized units upgraded, level to 10.
the water lotus augment suits so well this comp vro. you can actually get top 1 if u have emblem, in level 9 u can replace kobuko with braum (2 stars) vro
So I’ve played a lot of Star Guardian this patch and I’ve gotta say, Jinx is really strong, but she’s kinda item agnostic.
I think getting Rising Chaos Syndra with her items makes the comp overall stronger, as you win streak easier into level 8 and jinx/poppy items. Sometimes I move the stuff off syndra, sometimes not, but she’s a great early game streaker to support the comp.
Kobuko is actually so important it’s scary. I’ve droped Kobuko for seraphine at 8 and basically every time I go from winning to losing until I hit 9 and get him back in.
Without emblem on 8, do you play 8 star guardians? or is it not strong enough?
is it better to play 6 SG with kobuko/ksante?
This comp has Quality Over Quantity moving it to S, but no listing for what are the best radiant items
In a no legendary lvl 8 Im playing Ksante 2>Xayah because this comp lacks frontline if you dont have 3 item Poppy or Star Sailor 2
Prismatic Orb takes every other comp higher but for this comp its very underwhelming, Radiant items are ok, Artifacts not really helpful, Spat and Pan is the only one that would Spike you, went from top 2 to 5th in a Prismatic Orb drop lobby
not sure if worth the wait increases it by 2 tiers.
Removed, thanks — Was broken when Rising Chaos Syndra was broken and could take you to 9 on Syndra 2, so getting a Syndra 3 for free was basically guaranteed 1st. Not good anymore in Patch 15.3.
Got a star guardian emblem early and no syndra so I just put IE on Xayah with storm powerup, emblem on shen to stay comp. Then later I got syndra, 2* seraphine and ksante and then dawncore by like 5-2, ended up getting 1st from that barely against a mighty mech sorc comp with 2* gwen with three items. I was running classy on jinx when i eventually found three copies, before i got star sailor, but im curious, wouldn’t classy be better?
The frontline seems way too weak on this build I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but even with fully BiS itemized jinx syndra and poppy 2 star on level 9 with star guardians and kaboko the frontline would die to everything too quick for jinx or syndra to do any damage. Went from 100 hp and level 8 with 50+ gold on 4-1 to a 6th place and lost to some insanely weak boards.

I think the win rate for double shojin is significantly altered by the fact that it’s basically impossible to slam, the amount of times you’re in a situation where you can get 2 shojin early is basically none. So you’re left fumbling and losing HP early, and then getting a worse placement. Whereas if you just slam literally whatever AP items you have on Syndra, you’re almost guaranteed to tempo into a top 4, and with some decent play a top 2. If you somehow manage to slam two shojins early yeah im sure she’s amazing and you can go first but the chance of that happening before you lose 40 hp is like 0
Replication augment.
i got dawncore with radiant nashor tooth and shojin but it was not as op as i thought. Front line died too fast before Syndra clear them. I got full tank items on neeko and poppy but still get no.4 in that game.
What’s the deal with rageblade on Jinx? It dropped off last patch but looks like its back. When should we build it?
i build it early for tempo, great item for syndra so she casts more then just give it to jinx when you hit her
This seems pretty good with Quality Over Quantity Syndra 2 Opener, top 4 comp if you get to 9 top 2 with Seraph radiant AA or Radiant Warmogs from QoQ
My highest damage without artifacts I got with Archmage + Nashor + Shojin (the mana giving one not sure the name right now)
But I also think it highly depends on how fast you have your other units in shipping. You can also play it with. Battle Academia.
great and fun comp, helps a lot to start with rising chaos syndra and just throw w/e ap/crit/as items you get on her, i often fast 8 with high health even with a 1* syndra.
only item really needed early is a void staff or you wont have dmg to kill tanks imo
stormbending on jinx is really good too, helps if you dont have armor shred or enemy has mega tanks you struggle with
I think this comp is very dependent on BIS items on your units, I played this comp multiple times with more suboptimal items and it had a hard time beating other comps in the current patch, it couldnt deal enough damage to other comps and when it did win some rounds, it was just barely. I feel this comp had a lower cap than other comps rn.
On who are we supposed to give the “Star Guardian Emblem”
