Tips & Tricks
  • You cannot play this line if you do not have a consistent way of getting to Yone. If your gameplan is to just go 8 on 4-2 and pray you hit, you WILL go 8th if you miss Yone. Only consider playing this from high tempo spots (8+ wins where you can lose-streak Stage 4) or high econ.
  • In Patch 15.5, Mech Pilot was changed so that it is guaranteed on the second unit after hitting it on the first unit. Try to hit on Lucian or Senna. They also bug-fixed Executioner so that it applies crit for the Mech which makes the Power Up significantly better and worth going for.
  • Aura Farming is only as strong as shown if you get Yone as it guarantees 7 Mech on 8 which allows you to play the comp more like Fast 8 rather than Fast 9. It solves the core issue of the comp (which is that it wants to roll to stabilize on 8, but can’t if you want to consistently get Yone)
  • Only itemize Senna and Lucian with the items shown if you have Mech Pilot. Ideally have at least 1 Sterak’s and as many Rabadon’s as possible.
  • Juggernaut Emblem is broken if you can Mech Pilot it onto the 7 Mech, but is otherwise not very valuable so make sure you have a gameplan to get to Yone if you hit the emblem.
  • Similar case for Luchador Emblem, except Luchador Emblem has no value before level 9 (on 8 you want to play 7 Mighty Mech + Ryze) so you can’t realistically build it early game so be aware of that. It is quite strong though if you can get to the final board with it.

Economy Strategy
  1. Without econ augment, fast 9 is almost impossible without win-streak.
  2. Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
  3. Level to 5, unless on 3-loss streak.
  4. Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
  5. Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
  6. Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
  7. Level to 7, or 8 if you can stay above 30g.
  8. Level to 8. Main difference from Fast 8 is how much you roll on 8. Ideally you are high HP and don’t need to roll at all. Otherwise, roll for acceptable board and accumulate gold afterward.
  9. Level to 9 if you are rich enough to roll 20g+. Generally only possible with economy augment or encounter.
  10. Level to 9 if you can roll 20g+ or if low HP.
  11. Level to 9 and roll for important 5-costs. For the remainder of game, roll until you hit your 2 star itemized units. Can consider level 10 after hitting.

why is streaks recommended for the pilots? the shield doesn’t proc on the mech anyways

    1. Anonymous

the mech absorbs the stas from the item, in this case health and AD

  3. Dennis

do i go for lucian senna 3 star when i play mech pilot ?

  4. dih soap

bis karma bis yone bis mech (no artifacts) lv10 at 5-5, everything 2star went 2nd vs lv9 6sorc comp (no artifacts, enemy jarvan missed karma 50% of the time). seems like gwen just pisses on this comp.

I’m curious, should Mech Pilot be picked early game, or is it only worth it later on with 2*/3* Mighty Mech? I feel I either 1st or 6-8th with this comp (Plat 1), as I struggle if I do not hit Yone. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

    1. Anonymous

should take it later bc Lucian is your early game carry and the galio doesnt really do dmg until 5 mech, also do hold some lucian copies on bench in case you don’t hit mech pilot. Lucian has the best odd but sometime you just can’t hit spending all the removers

2nd season that I play tft. First I left it at D1 as I played flex to help my brother get master for the first time (highish rank was easy for me to get as I was a very high level player in Battlegrounds so had thousands of games of experience in auto battlers).

This comp is super broken I have 10 games that I forced it. Got 1st 7 out of 10 I think and the other 3 lobbies were super high roll lobbies that just got giga broken combos. The strength of this comp in my experience is the super stable late game. This isn’t a comp you stay at 8 with. The most important is understanding the lobby dynamic and decide whether you need to play strong opener to win streak or play lose streak combined with resources augments. I rarely end up playing even 3 mechs before stage 4.

Be very mindful of how and where you use your fruits. You don’t want to be wasting your removers to get your fruits to your carries.

This is a comp that allows you to get very reactive with items. It is very flexible in terms of of AP and AD dmg. Remember that getting at least 1 mana item on Jarvan will elevate the comp. Positioning matters a lot here.

To me this feels like Annie comp from 2 seasons back. If you are losing with this comp a lot I can pretty much guarantee that you are piloting it wrong in some way. Just my 2 cents.

While i agree this is a good comp i think if you get 7 first in a row your mmr must be low. I face mighty mech in every single lobby and while they can top 4 they dont win as regularly. Masters 380lp right now.

  8. Anonymous

“At what cost” is S tier because its win streak and levels to hit lvl 9

  9. Anonymous

What should you play at 9 if you roll 30399 times and dont see a single **** yone

Bought a billion Lucian/Senna to get Mech Pilot. Whiffed GG

Plat casual here. MetaTFT says Karma has a 20% chance to roll Mech Pilot power up. Jarvan also has a 20% chance, but he’s too valuable as a unit. Lucian is next best with 18%, and he’s useless otherwise. while Senna only has 14%, and GP only has 15.5%.

So wouldn’t it be better to just itemize for GP and Senna, then roll for Karma and Lucian to be Mech Pilots? Mech Pilot Lucian as soon as you get 5 Mech, then Karma. Roll for GP and Senna 3-stars at 7, then roll for Yone at 8 and stay there to 3-star Karma or Jarvan to keep pumping up the Mech?

Saving fruits and fruit rerolls for Yone and Jarvan seems like a waste, and I’d rather take the Mech Pilot odds on Karma than GP or Senna. You can just put TG on Lucian and Karma.

So it’s 7 Mighty Mechs plus Udyr. Sorry if this is a dumb idea. Went first with it just now, but again, Plat, and I had RFC on GP.

    1. Bazorki

Emerald and Climbing ex Master player.
So first of if u check per stage u will notice that Lucian has a 21.2% chance to get Mech Pilot at stage 4+, this also is the stage u start to go 8 and rolling a bit for some pieces.

Generally I rush 8 with this comp and dont linger on 7 my early game normally revolves around lux(zyra karma items) naafiri(yone lee items) + lucian aatrox > gangplank/senna and whatever i find on the spot that works if im winstreaking. And then I roll a little to find atleast a Jarvan Karma, potentialy a Zyra Lee Yone and this is when i drop Naafiri and Lux and start looking for Mech Pilot.

The reason we dont play Udyr, is cause Mech Pilot 2 gives our Mech the benefits of their traits. And since Senna is an Executioner we play Ryze for activating Executioner and then our mech can crit, if we would do Karma Lucian thats twice Mech Sorcerer instead of Senna who could give us a third trait on the Mech.

Last but not least I tend to keep extra Lucians just to get extra tries on the Mech Pilot power up, if u dont get it with one remover left i would prioritize your carries over trying again since i feel like Mech Pilot 1 is not as usefull as Mech Pilot 2 and even then the second Mech Pilot is not garanteed so its a bit of a gamble somtimes. If u dont get it on Senna i would remove it from Senna and just put it on a Carry and have Mech Pilot 1 potentionally switching it to your second carry on the next minion round.

      Hope this helped. 😀

who should hold items/be the carries until you get karma/yone/jarvan?

    1. Skibidi Rizz

Haven’t played it much, but i think GP > Yone — Udyr > jarvan — Lucian > Karma
Also, this is best to play if you get Yone from Aura Farming
