Tips & Tricks
- Gangplank always wants Shojin + Gunblade. The third item is flexible and this is where you can slot in artifacts typically. Edge of Night or Quicksilver also work. With Radiant Shojin, do not build two Shojins — use QSS or EoN as your third item slot.
- Can also replace Gunblade with Bloodthirster, but Gunblade generally looks better
- Sacrifice Kayle in the frontline to proc Fury Break as soon as possible.

Economy Strategy
- Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6. Roll until stable. “Stable” changes depending on rank, items, augments, composition, and patch, but generally speaking it involves 2-starring your desired 2-cost carry and a tank with items. Major divergence between elos: The lower your elo, the less upgrades you need to be “stable” and thus lower elo players should generally roll less than high elo players on 3-2.
- After your 3-2 rolldown, you should attempt to rebuild your economy to 50g.
- Once you reach 50g (it might be later than 3-5), start slow rolling down to ~52g each turn. Try to avoid rolling to exactly 50g as any unit you want to buy in shop will put you below 50g.
- If you are high HP relative to the lobby, continue slow rolling to 52g each turn. If you are lower HP, you should roll to hit your first 2-cost 3 star on 4-1 or 4-2. If you have to roll below 30g, your placement is usually capped at 3rd or 4th.
- If you are still high HP (70+), you can continue to slow roll. Otherwise, in the majority of cases, you should roll deep for your 3-stars here. If your HP is low, you can even go to 0 gold looking for your 3-stars. If you have your 3-stars and can afford to level to 7 with 10g+, do so.
- Level to 7 if you haven’t already.
- Level to 8 as soon as possible. This may not happen until 5-5 or in some games, stage 6.
- Level to 9 whenever possible. This is rare, but can happen in the games you have a chance of winning.

why cant i hit fury break on kayle anymore after 2nd fruit
Hi i’ve been playing this religiously, I even hit BIS with rapid fire cannon, death’s dance and radiant shojin.
I think tiny and deadly would be +1 because gangplank’s animation in walking is so stiff. really sucks.
small and deadly is like a free mittens.
Agree on Tiny but Deadly — even added it at +2, pretty sure it’s very good in any comp where the main carry is a melee unit.
if it helps, i usually fruit viego unflinching/tiny terror @3-5. then i reroll for gather force on GP. Sell viego and fruit kayle.
not good
Been running this build a lot in Emerald lately. I almost always get top 4 (avg 3.63 as of writing).
It’s a spooky comp – you need 3 star GP, gathering force, 6 duelist and perfect items. Without those, stacking up by stage 4/5, you get bot 4. But the stars seem to align every game, even if it has me clenching.
It’s almost never a 1st place comp. GP gets shut down hard by cc and kat. But it counters scale up comps like kog super well.
Best win con is radiant shojin and a qss – removing cc is huge
agreed also running this in emerald, you can add death dance intead of hextechgunblade if ur bis god, and qss for mages, edge of night for ashe, jinx comps
why quicksilver with radiant shojin?
you will go bottom 4 if you dont hit gather force even with bis items. had 6 duelist by stage 4-1 radiant shojins full build 3 star gp, full build udyr with everyone else 2 star with ok items and went 6th because i couldnt hit gather force. you NEED gather force
humm never see these two augment in like 30 game
your ashe itemization is out of date, see this reddit post
https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveTFT/comments/1o0vrj9/156_ashe_buff_analysis/
No it’s not? The whole point of that post is that Rageblade is not as good on Ashe in 6 Duelist after the rework to her ability. Do you see a Rageblade? The new build is Kraken + Giant Slayer + Flexible 3rd item. Also Rageblade still looks buildable if you look at the data, and that’s on 15.6. In 15.7, Guinsoo is getting a buff and Kraken is getting a change too so the build will likely update in ~48 hours (or maybe it won’t, regardless the changes will impact the analysis).
Also while this type of analysis is helpful, stats will prove what build is best with a large enough sample because it accounts for realistic conditions.
how is this c without condtions it deserves atleast b i think
The comp averages a 5.0 in high elo without conditions. That’s legitimately D-tier — the only reason it’s in C-tier is because it’s better in low elo, but generally the comp is gated by conditions.
yeah i guess its because im low elo sorry for talking arrogantly
