Tips & Tricks
- This comp requires a LOT of gold. Only play in games where you have a ton of gold from augments, encounter (e.g: Scuttle Puddle), win streak, etc. You must be level 9 by 5-1 with a lot of gold to roll. This comp CANNOT be played from normal spots. Needs prismatic augment or multiple econ sources.
- Save all power removers for Twisted Fate. Once you find him, use all removers for Frost Touch. If you miss, find a new Twisted Fate and sell the old Twisted Fate to get your Power Up fruit back. Cycle as many TFs as necessary to hit (part of why this comp requires so much gold).
- Do the same with Ziggs / Ashe / Kayle / Gnar so you can get 2 Frost Touch. Note that Ziggs may be better than Ashe as Ashe hardly does any damage compared to TF, so Ziggs buffing TF slightly might be better. Also increases number of units you can search for 2 Frost Touch with.
- Put tank items on either Sett or Dr. Mundo.
- Twisted Fate best items include: Rageblade, Red Buff, Giant Slayer, Nashor’s, Void Staff, Striker’s
- Shadow Clone Gnar with Dr. Mundo is one of the best ways to play into this comp as it is a strong opener that is relatively cheap.
- Twisted Fate 1 with Frost Touch is better than TF 2 without it. NEVER MAKE TF 2 BEFORE YOU HAVE FROST TOUCH. Keep cycling TFs until you hit.

Economy Strategy
- Without econ augment, fast 9 is almost impossible without win-streak.
- Level to 4 if you have upgrades and a good item to place on one of those upgrades.
- Level to 5, unless on 3-loss streak.
- Level to 6 if on 4+ win streak (scout to see if necessary in high elo) or can stay above 40g.
- Level to 6, unless you would go below 30g. If you have to stay level 5 due to low gold (rare), then level to 6 on 3-5.
- Level to 7 if you can stay above 30g, otherwise stay level 6.
- Level to 7, or 8 if you can stay above 30g.
- Level to 8. Main difference from Fast 8 is how much you roll on 8. Ideally you are high HP and don’t need to roll at all. Otherwise, roll for acceptable board and accumulate gold afterward.
- Level to 9 if you are rich enough to roll 20g+. Generally only possible with economy augment or encounter.
- Level to 9 if you can roll 20g+ or if low HP.
- Level to 9 and roll for important 5-costs. For the remainder of game, roll until you hit your 2 star itemized units. Can consider level 10 after hitting.
Watched wasian play this comp, very op if you hit frost touch, can even beat 7 crystal gambit with big cashout. All you have to do is find frost touch on tf, there r many second frost touch holder such as xayah, kayle, zig other than ashe. No different between them, tf will just do it all
This comp up to OP + tier with Horizon focus artefact
Too hard to really get into. For one the gp spammers will make you suffer early
played for the first time and won. Couldn’t winstreak so i put golden edge on gnar with a rageblade. Got lucky on 3rd augment so i hit 9 on 4-5. Comp felt strong even if Ashe had no items.
Played a few games of this comp, it feels pretty good as a counter to frontline carries like GP and Gwen.
– I mostly played it out of winstreak openers with tank components, slamming all items I got since the only component you need to hold for TF is bow.
– Ashe didn’t feel like that impactful of a secondary carry so I also rolled fruits on Ziggs + Xayah when trying to hit the second frost touch, which saved a lot of gold. This also let me prioritize more tank items so I could have two itemized tanks, helping rageblade scale.
– Ziggs might be better than Ashe for the slight crew bonus.
– There’s also something not right with the Mundo champion, it tanks 10k easily with 6 juggernaut. Itemize first before Sett.
– Juggernaut emblem also felt pretty good on TF along with a gunblade + rageblade. I think if you go for a more defensive setup like this you need an augment that gives attack speed like backup dancers.
– Rolling on level 8 kinda sucks since the comp is basically solo carry TF, and looking for frost touch on two non-TF champions is a waste of gold. Since Mundo 2 is equal or better than Sett, there’s nothing to really roll for on level 8 (Ashe sucks). Better to just save gold for level 9 on 5-1 and save what hp you can while losing in stage 4 with your TF items on a gnar/jhin/kogmaw. This makes early winstreak even more important.
– 1 defensive item on TF felt necessary with all of the chip damage from 6 Sorcs and Gwen.
– Position TF same side as Gwen/GP to hit them with the bouncing freeze.
– Gunblade felt like the best defensive item. Edge of night is decent into teams that snipe backline like GP or Gwen.
– Majority of your damage is magic from frost touch’s on-hit, so build a void staff onto your second frost toucher if you can.
Hitting the comp on 5-1 is very possible with an early winstreak + a Tier 2 econ augment, and I was able to force it a couple of games with no econ augment. Augments that helped me winstreak early like Thorn-Plated Armor felt the most impactful.
Just want to say I love comments like these two because I think they genuinely add value to site, even if we end up with different conclusions down the road — especially helpful when a comp is brand new and conditional like this one. Thanks!
This comp is so impossible to play
