Economy Strategy
- Level to 4 if strong.
- Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
- Level to 6, unless it places you below 30g.
- Stay level 6, unless you can stay above 50g on 7 or you are below 40 HP and can stay above 30g on 7.
- Level to 7, roll until board mostly upgraded. Never go below 10g even if missing tank or carry.
- Build up to 50g, slow roll to 50g until 5-1.
- If below ~25 HP, sometimes you must roll until you hit here. Not ideal.
- Roll until you hit 3-star carry and tank. Can go to 0g. Only greed gold if you are above ~60 HP.
- If you hit, you can level to 8. Otherwise stay 7. Holds true for every round for the rest of the game.
I played a game of this with stage 2 Lulu, +1 Protector, +1 Strategist, +1 Wraith and a Zhonya’s Paradox (spats from carousel and rerolled with Pandora’s). Was still struggling against The Crew with +1 Strategist though my augments were mostly item and econ focused which is my bad but I still managed to win. I think Lulu might be my favorite unit to play this set, and I don’t see many people playing her in my games.
Also, I recently found this site and find it a lot easier to quickly navigate and search for the information I need than some other popular TFT sites. Keep up the good work!
Is it possible to explain on who we should be using Lichbane and Zhonya’s paradox
Kog’Maw has an alt build for Zhonya’s. Lich Bane isn’t listed as an alt build on Kog’Maw was there wasn’t enough space, but Kog’Maw.
Why is this 6 Protector and Smolder is 4 Mentor? What made you make the decision that both need different frontlines?
Mostly stats, although intuitively Kog’Maw will be better with the 6 Protector / 6 Jug boards because he is more of a Gunblade carry than Smolder is. There haven’t been enough high level player games of these comps yet to know for sure though. As of right now, both Smolder and Kog’Maw can get played 4 ways:
1) Mentors
2) Protectors
3) Juggernauts
4) Heavyweights
I just picked the highest statistic (with reasonable sample size) versions of each for now until we actually know which of these variations are best. My guess is that will change with balance, but it may also become completely standardized within first patch of the set. Hard to know only 4 days into PBE.
