  • Generally only play if you can get Fusion Dance on Darius and many Swords for creating Deathblades / Warmogs on Jayce or whatever Heavyweight unit you choose to sacrifice.
  • Because of Fusion Dance, Sword Overflow and Belt Overflow are solid augments as you can sacrifice Jayce with many Deathblades / Warmogs
  • This is the best way to abuse artifacts on Darius because this version of Darius reroll (as opposed to Mentor) completely indexes into Darius, both with his traits and Power Up. The goal is to make him as powerful as possible.
  • Every single decision you make should be centered on making Darius as powerful as possible. He’s the only unit on your team that matters in this version of the comp

Economy Strategy
  1. Level to 4 if strong.
  2. Level to 5, unless on 3 loss streak.
  3. Level to 6, unless it places you below 30g.
  4. Stay level 6, unless you can stay above 50g on 7 or you are below 40 HP and can stay above 30g on 7.
  5. Level to 7, roll until board mostly upgraded. Never go below 10g even if missing tank or carry.
  6. Build up to 50g, slow roll to 50g until 5-1.
  7. If below ~25 HP, sometimes you must roll until you hit here. Not ideal.
  8. Roll until you hit 3-star carry and tank. Can go to 0g. Only greed gold if you are above ~60 HP.
  9. If you hit, you can level to 8. Otherwise stay 7. Holds true for every round for the rest of the game.

    Same issue here, managed to 3 star Darius and Jayce 3 games back to back, BiS items on both, but never hit Fusion Dance. Not even once. Suggest go for this comp if minions give you Darius and you get Fusion on the 1st or 2nd fruit, if not drop it and play something else no need to risk.

    Finally hit this comp and went 5th, with a 9k health Darius because he cant get to backline against capped boards. I went 2nd twice with the artifact items and no fusion dance. I think FD is bait without the artifacts, so just a heads up for anyone trying this comp out.

    Are there any tricks to get better odds for fusion dance? Either using it on a certain stage or anything? I have played this 3 times and 2 times I did not get fusion damce after trying the whole game (still won though haha).

    Double radiant IE + Jayce 3 with hungry fruit getting fed every round. Hilarious game. One shot the stage 5 boss and 3* Mundos.

      Managed to hit the same power ups.

      Got silver augments (Latent forge – Prowler Claw & Titanic Titan) and just force fed Jayce every round. By the time we got to top 4, Darius was around 11HP and one shooting everything lol.

      I would say Hungry Hero is a good BIS for Jayce if you get an HP Augment to offset the HP loss, this would make it less of a risk and more of a benefit as it lets Jayce/Darius scale a little bit more later.

    Weights deserves a mention. I know fusion dance is obviously superior to the trait but the dmg reduction and attack speed amp is very strong as a secondary fruit if you don’t hit Fusion Dance
