Tips & Tricks
- Remember that Manazane can go on Garen in early game before you find Yuumi to stack up maximum HP
- The build for Garen has changed several times this set. Make sure you are familiar with his current build (Shojin over Rageblade) as people still frequently build the wrong items on Garen which makes this augment significantly weaker.

Economy Strategy
- Do not spend gold on leveling this stage. If you have 2-stars and a good item, you can consider playing to win some rounds. Otherwise lose streak is common for stage 2.
- Roll to 33 gold, buying any unit that will be part of the level 4 or 5 board. You can also buy units that will be part of the level 6+ board, but you can sell those if your bench fills and you need to buy other units. Rolling to 33 gold is advisable because it allows you to save back up to 50g by 3-5.
- Do not level if you haven’t hit your 3-star 1-costs yet. If you have your 3-stars, you generally should still stay level 5 if you can win or if leveling to 6 would put you below 20g. Try to get above 40g this round.
- Ideally above 50g, level 5 at this point or level 6 with 3-stars.
- If you haven’t hit your 3-stars yet, roll to ~52g each turn. You don’t want to roll to perfect 50g as any units you buy in shop will put you below 50g. If you have 8+ copies of an itemized 1-cost, you can roll to 40g or 30g every round instead. Level to 6 once you hit your 3-stars.
- If you haven’t hit your 3-stars yet, you must roll until you hit them. You should level to 6 after hitting. In some rare games, you will miss or spend so much gold you can never catch up. These games will usually result in bottom 4 placements.
- Level to 7 if you can stay above ~20g. Otherwise stay level 6.
- Level to 7.
- Level to 8 if you are in bottom half of lobby HP and are losing rounds. If you are higher HP and feel stable, you can wait until next turn.
- Level to 8 if you haven’t already. Roll for any remaining units necessary for the comp. If stable, you can try to go 9. Most games you will end on level 8.
- Level to 9 whenever possible. This is rare, but can happen in the games you have a chance of winning.
Build sucks if you have only protagonist.
Master+ player, can confirm slamming blue buff is totally fine. I would even say its better witht he new added bonus 10% AD and if he has to travel far to his next target.
You should add prowler claw as +2 tier condition. Garen start on the weak side then jumps to the back line and kill their carries. I think it works more consistently than Spectral Cutlass.
Current speed of the meta and fights makes Rageblade feel much worse – I think Shojin, Bloodthirster, Titan’s feels better.
Also unsure that Radiant Shojin is an insane upgrade over standard, I think radiant BT or Titans is slightly better.
i just got 1st with hero augment but i play 1 cost reroll with Rell power up instead of this comp. i think Shojin is a must now, not sure about rageblade.
Feels like this needs omnivamp now that fighters were changed to not have it

Not Done Yet so broken, theres some tech where you field 2 Garens, the one with Not Done Yet becomes Tank Garen, and you switch the items to other Garen 2 and he becomes hero, that way you can Stack HP while you other Garen dies, when 3 starred they combine and gain Stacks + Power Up
I played this with Deaths Defiance from Artifact Anvil, top 2 seems very good
I played this comp 4 times already, ALL 4 times I got first place. 2 times without any artifacts. 1 time with Manazane on Yuumi. But my recent game is the most surprising, I hit Locket on Garen. At first I didn’t think much, I thought when you said OP, it just mean really strong. Like Manazane on Karma, strong but still beatable. BUT NO, this build is absolute ridiculous, I hit Over 9000 and the moment I BIS Garen he didn’t die a single time, not even half HP, every Q was a full heal. I even beat a Crystal Gambit comp with Flickerblades Ashe and Manazane Zyra. ABSUOLUTELY DISGUSTING. As a return player, I really appreciate your work here man.

I just hit Protagonist Garen with this and got Over 9000 power up. 7k HP garen at 6-1 and went Mr. 100.
i just went this and hit everything and got 8th, not sure if im on drugs or this sucks
edit – i hit locket 3 star and all items before stage 3, im honeslty baffled
in Garen’s case 4 star and 3 star just no diff, he’ll be from like 6k HP to 7k not worth the fruit
Colossal is a better augment to be in 2nd bis, and if you get protagonist augment and roll Garen final form isn’t needed.
