- 6 Watcher is a massive spike, but hard to fit on 8 without an emblem. You would have to drop Draven + Ekko, which is generally worse – especially if you can itemize Ekko. But be mindful that 6 Watcher 3 Family is an option if you can’t hit Ekko.
- Family emblem is MUCH better than Watcher emblem. Never take Watcher emblem over Family if given the option. Watcher is only good for playing 6 Watcher on 8. If you can make it to 9, Watcher emblem provides very little value. 4+ Family is a massive spike and continues to be one for the entire game.
- As usual with hero augment comps, prioritize anomaly on Vander. Only take others if you have no gold.
- While frontline Powder is ideal with Ambushers, backline Powder is performing better with Family. Try to go for a full crit or damage-based build if possible.
- Prioritize Powder as secondary carry over Violet. Generally this is easier anyway from an item economy perspective as Violet items crossover with Vander items.
- Almost all melee-based artifacts are good on Vander, as well as Talisman. In general, you will pair these artifacts with BT + IE if possible, but BT + HoJ, BT + Titans, or BT + Steraks can work as well. BT, IE, HoJ, and QSS are Vander’s best craftable items.
- Even if you miss on Vander artifact, there are some alternative hits for Powder and Violet.

Economy Strategy
- This is an uncommon econ strategy. Sometimes there are zero comps in the meta that use it.
- Do not spend gold on leveling this stage. If you have 2-stars and a good item, you can consider playing to win some rounds. Otherwise lose streak is common for stage 2.
- Unlike 1-cost reroll, stay above 50g for entirety of stage 3. Slow roll to ~52g for the remainder of the stage, buying all necessary 1-costs and 2-costs.
- If you haven’t hit your 3-stars yet, you must roll until you hit them. Level to 6 after hitting. You should be close to having a 2-cost 3-star unit as well. In some cases, you can level to 6 before hitting all 1-costs if you have many copies of your 1-costs, but not many of your 2-cost.
- Level to 6 if you haven’t.
- Level to 7 if you can stay above 20g, otherwise stay level 6.
- Level to 7 if you haven’t.
- Level to 8. Most likely end the game on 8, so roll for remaining important units. If far ahead, can save and try to go 9 in stage 6.
